-----The still mounted farmer stares suspiciously at where Kazel hides.
-----"We be demandin' we be allowt to search the waggin'!" shouts one of the leather clad men.
-----Just then two men wearing the fine clothing of merchants exit the tavern just behind Sir Slappy and Krord.
-----The Dread Pirate seems to be fine quietly listening to the paladin speaking on their behalf, up until Nylan Lotley refers to him as a turnip farmer. At this point, his face begins to redden and several veins begin to ominously bulge out of his forehead. His eyes bug out and he leaps to his feet on the back of Joren's saddle.
-----Screaming, "Bleeeaayaaahhh", the Dread Pirate leaps from the saddle and launches himself at the paladin, outstretched hands intending to grab the paladin and wrest him from the saddle, then pummel him into the dust at the side of the road.
-----Taking everyone completely by surprise, the enraged halfling lands upon Lotley's back causing him to lose his footing. With a grunt expressing shock, the paladin's arm flail out trying to regain his balance, but with Dread's momentum, Lotley pitches forward. As he heads groundward, he falls into three of the approaching men. With his arms stretched out, the trio of opponents are effectively clotheslined and taken down in a heap.
-----The chaos of the ensuing pile-up between the wagon and the riders' horses is magnified by a small dust cloud where struggling arms and legs squirm fighting to gain some advantage.
-----"Get t'at hobbit!" goes the cry from the other four riders as they move forward. The once wet farmer stays on his horse, his eyes wide with building fear.
-----With a loud battle cry, Runik leaps off the wagon. As he hits the ground, the dwarf loses his footing and, raising more dust, sits down hard on his rump. Cursing, Runik jumps up and charges at the other horsemen.
-----Brandel quickly climbs over the buckboard and stands over Amdracks in the bed. Pushing the little girl behind him, he draws his sword looking to protect the goods.
-----Forgetting the orc standing by him, Krord raises his massive fists and rushes forward. An angry look comes over Sir Slappy's face and he too rushes toward the dust cloud behind the wagon.
-----In the background, the two merchants watch the fray with interest and begin pointing with excited gestures.
-----Still in a berserk state, the Dread Pirate continues to flail madly at the downed paladin, minuscule fists thumping against the plate armor. Finally, he attempts to grab the paladin's head with both his hands and beat Lotley's head into the ground.
-----Seth is not surprised by the ferociousness of the attack. He searches in his pouch for some sand and flicks it toward the group of warriors hoping they all go to sleep.
-----Kazel stays back as Seth casts his spell. Instead she picks up a rock and slings it at anyone hostile and still standing after the spell.
-----A tinkling sound is heard as the sand leaves Seth's hand. In an instant, the four riders on the other side of the dust cloud collapse on the ground in a state of slumber. A thud is heard as the accusing farmer falls off his steed onto the ground. The horses themselves seem to relax in a state of sleep.
-----The Dread Pirate delivers two blows to the back of the paladin, one of which smacks smartly upon the back of Lotley's head.
-----Runik turns from the falling opponents in front of him with a confused look and then turns his attention to the fighting mass beside him.
-----One massive arm goes around the Dread Pirate and quickly lifts him out of the fray. Krord then sets the halfling down behind him before stooping to reach for the paladin.
-----Suddenly Sir Slappy delivers a blow to the back of the Dread Pirate's head that almost knocks him out. The halfling pirate stays on his feet but it takes a few moments for his eyes to clear.
-----Runik begins swinging his warhammer looking for the first man on the ground to hit.
-----An excited yell comes from Brandel who shouts trying to draw the attention from the orc behind Gimplefwick.
-----One of the merchants covers his face with his hands while the other one wildly applauses.
-----Baring his teeth in a crazed grin, the Dread Pirate recovers his senses, whirls about and hurls himself at the orc's knees, intending to topple the creature and bring it down to his level.
