-----The Dread Pirate's legs continue to thrash about furiously as he attempts to free himself from the confines of the hated bag. His nonstop howling is somewhat muffled, much to the relief of those nearby.
-----"Well you've a point," Kazel replies to the merchants. "But the man looks like an ape and has a wolf, while the woman has an owl. Do you remember now? It is said that the government reward for their capture is quite large."
-----"Hey Krord, Runik, hold his legs," Kazel says while she ties up the bag with a rope and continue all the way up the thrashing legs until they are mummified. She also takes the package up the wagon with the others' help so they can be on the way.
-----"Temple!" Nylan says perking up, "My friends, which House of the Holy Redeemer is it you journey to?"
-----Runik quickly rushes to Kazel's side as she once again lays into the struggling halfling inside the sack. She swats at the bag twice only hitting the Dread Pirate inside once.
-----As he grabs one of the halfling's legs the dwarf asks, wide-eyed at the muffled howling halfling, "This be one o' his funny fits like when he saw that sewer water?"
-----Krord stands back with a look of concern obviously at a loss at what to do. He then reaches down helping to subdue the Pirate long enough for Kazel to do her work.
-----The four young men begin walking away, losing interest in the commotion.
-----Brandel, at Seth's urging moves closer to the reins of the horses waiting to continue their journey.
-----Just then a detail of men on horses is seen riding down the road toward the wagon from the north. Most of the men appear to be wearing studded leather armor. They are led by one who wears chain mail. As they approach the area in front of the tavern, they look as though they mean to continue on past the wagon. Ten men make up this detail of riders and they express only a slight interest in those around the wagon.
-----By now, the securely wrapped Dread Pirate is gently laid into the back of the wagon close to the mage priest prisoner. Amdracks looks disgusted as the writhing hobbit is set next to him.
-----For several long moments, the Dread Pirate continues thrashing about inside his sack, still in a berserk rage. Then the bag stills and soon after long, quavering snores began to emanate from the bag. After a few moments of this, one of Dread's legs begins to twitch and a muttering is heard interspersed between the snores, "...MmmmMMMmmm...Baby, I like it like that...MMmmmMMmmm..."
-----"Mr. Driver, please take us out of here," Kazel says to Brandel as she flourishes towards the north.
-----"Yes, my friends, fear not!" Lotley calls as Brandel sets the wagon in motion, "I shall turn these scoundrels over to the authorities and then Slappy and I will catch up to you."
-----Pausing, he asks with a pondering expression, "Er, . . . where is it you are traveling?"
-----The little girl reaches for Kazel as Runik kneels beside the snoring form in the bag. "Aye Cap'n, rest fer now," the dwarf says in a surprisingly soothing voice, "there may be plenty o' troubles afore we gits this loot stashed fer ye." Runik pats where Gimplefwick's back would be.
-----Amdracks sighs with a resigned expression at the recent turn of events.
-----Krord looks back at the people standing in front of the now receding tavern and frowns at where the orc is.
-----The Dread Pirate snores and kicks his legs fitfully, as though he is dreaming piratical dreams of pillaging, plundering, and chasing landlubbers about, but otherwise seems content to rest nestled away in his burlap sack.
-----Seth smiles at the Paladin, and thinks it would be good to have him with them if they meet certain troublemakers, but it would be difficult having him along...
-----"Well, we have a companion who we sent for help when we were saving the town of Redmarsh from undead devourers. He is an elf and not used to the ways of men. We sent him to the temple for help. We do need to find him first."
-----"Friends!" Lotley calls after the wagon, "the nearest temple is in Redmarsh. That is also where these rascals that would dare seek to detain us should stand before the Just. Does all fare well now in Redmarsh?" A concerned look crosses the paladin's face as he stands aside the three men who assaulted him and Sir Slappy. The orc picks at a blemish on its pale face as the two merchants begin walking off.
-----"Would this be a good place to start picking up speed?" Brandel quietly asks Kazel as he looks at the half-elven butcher.
-----"I be in favor of it," Runik grumbles, "Redmarsh won't be worth spit fer the next few days. All the loot here'll be up fer grabs to the strongest arms. Best we git fer we meets somebody fiercer'n them dead ones under Redmarsh!" The dwarf scowls as he gently pats the slumbering form in the burlap.
