-----Seeing how the young mercenary painfully holds his arm, Xavia quickly says, "Gather bandages to stop his bleeding! I will try to stop his suffering!" To the priests, she says pointing to the big webbing, "Gather more of our soldiers and kill that beast. Then carefully free our guards!"
-----Gritting his teeth, the Dread Pirate watches the werecreatures vanish down the hole they came in. Cutlass in one hand, bedraggled parrot flopping about on his shoulder, the Dread Pirate leaps into the tunnel, giving chase to the werewolves. As he charges the tunnel he yells, "I'm more suited to fightin 'em in an enclosed space like this. I'll follow and be back if things get too rough."
-----Seth looks oddly to the side and then smiles as he carefully puts his dagger back into his scabbard, and looks at Krord, "You look after Brandel, make sure the Lady looks after him. Runik, you and I better follow Dread to make sure he is alright." He waits for Runik to enter the tunnel and follows him down. As he passes the Lady, he asks quickly, "Can you cure the disease? Or do we need to rush him to Oakwood?"
-----As Xavia kneels beside Brandel, she tells Seth, "I cannot cure the curse of a werewolf if indeed your friend has been inflicted. There are those in Oakwood who can help you."
-----By this time, the Dread Pirate has gained his footing in the space beneath the flooring. He runs forward as he sees the wolfen making for a hole admitting access to the outside on the west end of the building.
-----By this time the first of the werewolves has begun climbing from beneath the building and Gimplefwick runs up behind the last one. Sensing his approach, the beast slightly turns and snarls. Recognizing it as the beast he personally fought, the Dread Pirate stabs it in the hindquarters with as much force as he can muster. The creature howls painfully and struggles to turn on all fours.
-----Runik comes running up behind carrying his warhammer in one hand and the silver melted pot in the other. The dwarf pauses momentarily with a stunned look as if realizing the futility of his being able to help. By this time Seth has also entered the subflooring area.
-----In front of Gimplefick's foe, the second werewolf suddenly turns and growls, looking to attack the demi-humans!
-----The Dread Pirate thrusts again at the wounded werewolf, saying "Ha! Ye didn't expect that, now did ye, ye scurvy, umm, dog."
-----When he notices that Runik has followed him down the tunnel, he yells, "What are ye doing down here, Runik? Ye can't help me. Run and get Kazel. I'll be fine. The werewolves can only get at me one at a time in this tunnel. I'll chop 'em into kibble. Or at least keep 'em busy til you get Kazel and some enchanted weapons down here. Seth can help me if things get outta control before ye get back."
-----Seth touches Runik on the arm as he pushes past the dwarf and says to him, "Well, it appears Dread has everything under control, better do as Dread asks. We'll see you soon."
-----He then comes up behind Dread and watches carefully to see what he can do to help Dread's fight without getting in the way or hurt. Seeing the second creature turn to fight he decides to even the score somewhat in this under-tavern warfare. He reaches for a burnt but still greasy piece of pork fat that has been waiting for just this situation. He concentrates and then releases a greasy stream of magic at a spot in front of the second werebeast but just behind the wolven that Dread is fighting.
-----"Well Dread, should I sing? I have heard that some of these werecreatures in human form can be beautiful maidens. Maybe we could cure them and take them away from all this - raw meat and unwashed bodies."
-----He screws up his nose. "They sure do smell, not sure if that is the animal in them or that as humans they had poor personal hygiene."
-----With wide eyes at the beast, Runik turns and races back toward one of the holes admitting access to the tavern. Overhead a commotion continues as the guards try to vanquish the webbed beast.
-----From Seth's spell the ground behind the Dread Pirate's werewolf gets a familiar glazed look. The second werewolf suddenly loses its footing angrily growling as it tries to regain its balance.
-----The beast in front of Gimplefwick nips at him only to miss.
-----The Dread Pirate jabs in only to have the beast move quickly avoiding the attack. The creature's ears lay back on its head as its eyes seem to glow a brighter red.
-----The Dread Pirate looks frustratedly at the werebeast and continues his attack, saying, "Ye persistent, daft creature. Why won't ye just cooperate and die already. Yer makin me look bad. And there's another one after you I have to deal with." Grumbling and bitching about life in general and werewolves in specific, Dread flails his cutlass at the werewolf in front of him.
-----Seth smiles as the creature slips over. He remains behind Dread's back and decides to offer the enraged 'Scourge of the Sea' encouragement. He takes a deep breath and in his best, racy sailor voice begins to sing 'What do you do with a drunken werebeast? What do you do with a drunken werebeast? Oh what do you do with a drunken where beast? When he is on the ground! ..."
