-----The song only seems to make the monster in front of the Dread Pirate angrier. Quickly the Dread Pirate sees an opening and thrusts his cutlass in. Just as quickly, though, the werebeast sidesteps it and chomps down on Gimplefwick's arm!
-----In seeing the unavoidable contact, the Dread Pirate pulls back at the last second and the werewolf nips his flesh with its small teeth at the front of its mouth. Still it holds on, drawing a small amount of blood.
-----The other werewolf appears to be crawling on all fours slowly pulling itself from the greased area.
-----Overhead in the tavern a crashing and shattering of glass is heard.
-----Cursing at the minor flesh wound, the Dread Pirate attempts to rush the werebeast, hoping a sudden attack will force it back into the greased area, making it easier to attack as it flounders about.
-----Quickly the halfling pirate moves and deals the angry beast another jab to its shoulder. Bleeding profusely, the thing howls in pain and takes one step backward. It tries to retaliate but its jaws miss the Dread Pirate.
-----By this time, the other werewolf pulls itself from the other side of the greasy area and makes for the tunnel to the outside.
-----Seth remains to the back of the halfling, ready to flee or jump in to help deal the deathblow.
-----Beginning to wonder if this monster will ever die, the Dread Pirate continues attacking the beast, meanwhile keeping an eye on the one that is escaping.
-----Gimplefwick and the werecreature attack at the same time. The werewolf's jaw snap on air as the Dread Pirate's cutlass barely grazes the thing's paw.
-----With an interrupted look of shock, the monster momentarily steps back where one paw finds a slick spot. The werecreature then growls menacingly and looks as if it intends to fight again.
-----Suddenly someone lands with a soft thud close to the two rogues. From the side, Seth and the Dread Pirate can see that Kazel has come to join them.
-----The Dread Pirate, pressing the momentary advantage of having forced the werebeast partially back into the greasy area, renews his attack. Upon seeing Kazel join them, the Dread Pirate says, "We have this one on the ropes, but its companion ran off down the tunnel. Lets finish this one quick and see if I can catch up to the other one and delay it long enough for ye to catch up. I'd prefer to finish 'em off one at a time if we can. They don't seem to be dying very easily."
-----Seth grimaces at Dread's remark and whispers under his breath, "I thought we might go back into the safety of the tavern, but I guess if Kazel is here we shall be more safe together." He flashes Kazel a smile and then returns to watching the creature and for new creatures entering the under tavern area.
-----With a sudden flick of his wrist, the Dread Pirate slashes his cutlass across the monster's throat. A splash of blood follows his motion emulating from the werewolf's neck.
-----As the creature's eyes widen in surprise, it begins gagging as its mouth commences to froth with ichor. Very quickly the strength goes out of its legs and its body collapses in front of the rogues.
-----As the trio looks around, they can see they are now alone below the tavern building. From outside, they can hear the commotion from the other werebeasts.
-----The Dread Pirate scowls at the werecorpse, then looks up at the sound of the werecreatures clamoring about outside. He then says, "On second though, it sounds like they're all grouped together out there. Maybe we'd better just go back into the tavern and regroup before they attack again."
-----As Dread begins to head back up to the tavern, he says to the others, "I wonder if the curse of the werewolf bite will counteract the undead plague I have. Or maybe I'll end up a zombie werewolf. I'd better not contract any other diseases on this trip. Maybe it's a good thing Sarah didn't like me. I could've ended up with some nasty social disease. I could've been the world's only syphilitic zombie-werewolf-pirate."
-----Seth makes ready to follow the pirate back up to the tavern and motions for a halt. "By the way, how are we going to deal with our impending captivity etcetera? Shall we ride off and dare them to take us? I think the two Sol toadies may be infected and I am sure I stuck them a few times with my dagger while they were webbed - they should be weakened? I don't want to leave the treasure. And by the way," he has a quizzical look on his face, "What is syphilitic?"
-----The Dread Pirate chuckles at Seth's mention of stabbing the two guards, then says, "Arrr, I'm thinkin we just ride on out of here. Let 'em try to stop us, if they can. From that battle I just had with that werebeast, I think everybody'll be too beat up to contest our leavin once we're done clearin this place out. That paladin might try to stop us, but I think she'll decide her primary mission is of more importance than haulin in a bunch o' alleged horse thieves."
