-----Garrison then slams his axe blade into the side of the ogre's head. The weapon cleaves into the monster's skull and the thing drops heavily to the floor.
-----As it lies motionless and everyone recovers, Romney and Lovan look about the room. What the torch reveals here is a single door in the western corner near where Sarah stands. In the opposite corner, there is a heap of old clothing and skins. Near the heap is a large wooden chest.
-----Rinda begins looking over Sol, Raven, and Garrison before turning her attention to Lovan.
-----Growing decidedly impatient, and with more important things on her mind than the ogres' furs, Sarah walks to the door and flings it open.
-----Sol moves to back Sarah up as he says, "I think we need t'split up. I realize a lot o' ye prefer safety in numbers, but this place is too large t'have us so concentrated. Th' enemy has too much chance t'organise around us. Raven, maybe ye should head back upstairs with Rinda an' Garrison? What say ye?"
-----Sarah exits the room and returns to the big room to see what the others are up to. Once there she heads to the nearest unexplored door and opens it.
-----Raven nods, "Aye, sounds like good sense to me. Be best not to have all our eggs in one basket." Raven motions for Garrison and Rinda to follow as he walks toward the stairs going up.
-----As the others leave, Sol asks Romney to light a torch, handing the Oakwood guard one if he has none.
-----"Wait Raven," Rinda says listening into the dark recesses of the dungeon, "I know I saw a small troop of soldiers head down this way from upstairs. They had to have come down here." She eyes the floor as she begins lighting another torch. "Are there no signs of where they went to?"
-----Sarah edges around the hunters and makes her way out into the room where the stairs lead upwards. On the other side of the stairs she finds two doors in the north wall. The young mage finds both doors locked.
-----"Hah!" Sol exclaims happily as he replaces something in his pocket. He jogs along the western wall of the ogre room and reaches the southern wall. There he places his hand on the wall itself and begins searching the area. "They came through this way, help me search fer how t'open this entrance." Sol asks quickly, the excitement in his voice steadily growing.
-----Sarah returns to the big room and helps Sol find the concealed door.
-----Raven looks puzzled for a moment, but quickly assists Sol searching for a hidden door. Raven says to Sol as he searches, "What do you have there that showed you their path to this area?"
-----Still busily looking, Sol answers the hunter with a grin on his face, "Oh yes. I was going t'show ye what it was a'fore th' troop attacked yesterday. Got a little sidetracked then. It's some sort o' looking crystal thing, picked up from th' tower. If ye look through it, people's tracks show up an' I can at least tell how recent they've been. Isn't that amazing? Now I can track too! Though th' method isn't quite as original..." The Gorian trails off as he returns the focus of his attention to the wall.
-----As the three adventurers crowd together to inspect the corner where two walls join, Lovan looks around holding a torch high.
-----"Girl," comes his voice as he addresses Sarah, "where has your 'friend' gotten to?"
-----Garrison jerks around, alerted to this question, "What . . .?" the woodsman starts and then frowning he adds, "Lovan's right. I don't remember Harland following us down here."
-----"As said, we need t'split up. Th' small troop did come this way, but there's more'n that around. If Harland is free o' Sarah's spell, then he may have set free th' other guards we captured." Sol theorizes as he continues his wall search. His fervour diminished slightly, the young warrior begins to search more thoroughly, speaking as he does so, "Raven? If ye'd prefer t'follow th' troop, I'll head back upstairs. It's just that I figured Krondor is more likely t'be up rather than down...An' he's yours."
-----Sarah silently and sulkily notes that Sol didn't volunteer that to be group property, while he was all too eager to deprive Sarah of her cloak. She also notes that Sol gave Krondor away to Raven...not something she is happy with at all. But she keeps her mouth shut for the time being. Sarah pushes the block that stands out from the others.
-----"Lovan." She says calmly without turning around. "Don't call me girl."
-----Raven continues to search as he speaks, "Give the searching a few more minutes, then you can head upstairs. The rest of us will continue the hunt downward. I see Krondor moving deeper into the earth, like a worm."
-----"I think Sarah...may have found it." Sol steps back from the wall to see if the mage had discovered found the correct opening mechanism.
-----The young mage moves a particular stone in the wall to her right. Within seconds, a grinding sound is heard and a seam widens in front of the adventurers revealing the outline of an opening portal. The stone section opens away from them and behind the conceal door, a ten foot wide passage stretches before them.
