-----Sarah's magical discs streak straight up toward the clouds. With a nod from the Lord Wizard's daughter, they stop momentarily in mid-air and then fall once more toward the battle scene.
-----The dragon wildly thrashes its tail falling two smaller trees. It slowly begins to rise on its hind feet. Sol begins to lose his footing but he hangs onto a jutting ridge on the dragon's back. Just as the monster stands, the magical discs slam into its back creating golden sparks as they strike the green scales and vanish. The beast roars out in pain and in the next moment, its eyes glaze over as if greatly stunned!
-----Arrows streak across mostly missing again with just a few finding the mark.
-----Its movements become greatly slowed and the dragon appears badly wounded. Sol quickly gains his footing as the dragon drops back to all fours. The young warrior then purposely strides toward the neck unsheathing the Lathanian blade. Sol's sword stands poised for a moment against the background of dark clouds and the full trees of the forest. Arcing the blade up and then downward, Sol thrusts the sword deep into the monster's neck.
-----The great beast shoots its head out; its dying screams hurting the ears of those closest to the thing. The dragon's feet collapse underneath it. The monster lays there, head up breathing heavily and trying to recover what little senses it has left.
-----The clouds overhead continue to build with a distinct smell coming on the wind. Small flashes of lightning illuminate the darkness overhead.
-----Romney glances about somehow shaken from his inactivity. The noble guard looks with wide eyes at the insane looking storm priest who continues to shout at the heavens. Romney looks up at the changing weather and then down at Sol atop the dragon's body. With terrible recognition growing in his face, Romney suddenly yells out, "Sol, run while you can!"
-----By this time, Rinda has finished her second healing spell on the Hunter. She stands up grabbing her bow and then helps Raven to his feet.
-----Sarah smiles beautifully as her disc succeeds at confusing the dragon. Her grin broadens and she laughs happily as Sol drives the dragon down. At Romney's shout of warning, Sarah runs forward to Sol, wraps her arms around him, kisses him briefly, and then starts to drag him off, hoping that he'll come to his senses enough to realize that he should let the dragon go.
-----After a moment of stunned disbelief that the dragon has actually gone down, Sol does indeed run from the fallen dragon. Right after wrenching his blade out of the creature's neck that is. After noting Sarah coming towards him, he grins wildly at both her and at Romney's warning. As much as he doesn't mind where the Great Rager chooses to unleash his fury, it doesn't take a fool to work out that's it's better to watch the fury than be the centre of its focus. In most cases anyway...
-----The Gorian nimbly leaps off the carcass and runs towards Sarah and eagerly accepts her quick embrace. Sol then proceeds to flee the strike zone with her, making sure Sarah's body is shielded from any potential backlash with his own.
-----Raven grabs Rinda's hand as he gets to his feet. Raven smiles and then says, "I feel much better my love. The Hunter has healed my body and given me new energy." Raven grips his swords and looks like he wants to finish the dragon himself. Raven shows enough sense to not rush towards the stunned dragon. Raven moves into view of the elves and humans and says something in elvish and then says again in common, "Stay back! This priest of the Rager is about to bring death down on to this beast!" Raven moves Rinda and himself behind a nearby tree using it as cover.
-----Sarah grins wildly as Sol embraces her. Taking his hand in hers she runs with him away from the beast. As soon as they are far enough away, Sarah embraces Sol tightly, gazing at the body of the dragon. "We did it, Sol!" She says happily, turning to look at him. "You did it." She says quietly, staring at him. She smiles and kisses him deeply, holding him very tight.
-----As something continues to build behind the dark clouds overhead, the huge dragon suddenly shakes its head. Though its slow movements and bleeding wounds reveal its critical state, a menacing light fills the dragon's yellow eyes. A madness takes hold of the great beast and it begins thrashing about to seek the elves and woodsmen who now back off from it.
-----For a moment, everything is silent except for the ranting cries of the Rager's priest. The dragon stops and peers through the tree trunks that separate the dragon from Lovan. An astonished look on the draconian features turns to one of seething hatred and amusement.
-----To everyone's surprise, the dragon speaks to the storm priest, saying, "PRAY WHILE YOU CAN, FOOL! YOU SHALL SOON DRAW YOUR LAST BREATH!" With that, the huge green dragon squats low and spreads its gigantic wings gathering itself for a leap.
