-----It is the wee hours of the morning when Rinda knocks on Sarah's door. At the same time, Raven gathers Sol and sends a gentleman off to bring the four guards to his room.
-----Everyone meets in Raven's room trying to wipe away the sleepiness in their eyes. As they stand in the dim twilight coming through the windows, they are reminded of the memory of the meeting everyone had the night before.
-----As the four guards enter the room, they see Sol and Sarah awaiting them. Raven and Rinda stand by with concern on their faces.
-----Sol looks as if he needs another few days' sleep. Still blinking a bit from trying to adjust his eyes to staying open, he murmurs, "Morning all. Time t'go already? Damn...I'm sure I only just put my head down on th' pillow."
-----A weary Raven addresses the group, "Sorry to have to get you all up so early, but I need to talk with the group. I think you all have a pretty good idea about the feelings Dread and I have for each other. I'm not saying that Dread is wrong or I am wrong, we just don't work well together. What I am asking is that we keep our groups apart for this mission. Feel awful that I have to put you all in this position, but after last night I know Dread and I can not work together."
-----Raven sits down on a near by chair and then says, "Thank you for letting me say my peace."
-----Sol immediately tries to salvage the situation, "Raven, I know th' pirate isn't one fer civility, but his words are just that...words." Feeling dissatisfied with that argument, even before it's finished Sol switches tack, "Fer any reason, does two separate groups heading towards one destination, for one goal make much sense? I hate to even asking this of ye, but is it possible that ye can put up wi' his empty abuse until Krondor's either in chains or lying facedown in a ditch?"
-----Sol looks to the others, trying to gauge their opinions.
-----Sarah scuffles her feet a bit and stares at the floor for a few seconds before talking. Finally she walks over to Sol and puts her small hand on his shoulder. "Sol, this isn't to say anything against you or your efforts to get us all back together. But I agree with Raven." She says quietly. "Last night more bad feelings were passed back and forth between our group than in the entire time we traveled without them. I don't think I want to work with them." Sarah says.
-----Sol sighs and looks at Raven, "Right then. Looks like ye don't need t'answer my question after all. If both o' ye feel that way, an' I imagine Rinda shares yer feelings too, then it looks like it's back to the original plan."
-----The Gorian's disappointment is clear, but nonetheless he manages to crack a smile. "At least this way we can ride th' whole way t'Nox. Damned if I want t'walk th' whole way." He quips before turning serious again, "Alright, we should probably try an' catch some more sleep. It's going t'be a while a'fore where this safe t'sleep. At dawn when yer all having breakfast, I'll head down to th' Boar's Eye and let th' others know of our decision. I'll meet ye at th' west gate, and we can go from there."
-----Raven walks over to Sol and shakes his hand, "Thank you Sol. I hated to put a friend in this position, but it has to be this way. This is the hardest thing I've done, so I did not do this without some soul searching and thought." Raven returns Sol's smile, "With two groups attacking Krondor, we'll get two chances to kick his ass. That's something right?"
-----Raven turns to Sarah and says, "Thank you Sarah for speaking your mind. I know it wasn't an easy thing to do."
-----Raven yawns, "You're right, Sol we need to catch some sleep. I haven't been this tired in a long time."
-----"See ye all in a couple o' hours, or however long we have left." Sol waves to the group as he heads off to his room.
-----Sarah bids farewell to Sol. "I'm going back to sleep while I can. Wake me when you return."
-----To Raven she says, "Destine teaches to analyze a situation and then respond. I am under the impression that Thales teaches to go by instinct. I'm glad we both came to the same conclusion, though." She smiles reassuringly at him. "Some people are just a little too condescending for my taste, I would not want to travel with them any more than necessary. We can do this on our own!"
-----Raven nods, "Damn straight we can do this. One way or another Krondor will pay for his evil deeds!"
