-----Dread then hold up a large pouch, which had been attached to the ogre's belt. He opens it and dumps the contents upon the floor, carefully examining what appears to be a pile of rib bones. Some with flesh still attached. "This is disgustin. Ogre's have disgustin eatin habits. They're better off dead."
-----Seth grimaces as Dread rummages in the bones. He then begins to look around the room, looking for secret compartments and other oddities.
-----Seeing nothing immediately in the room, Kazel heads back up to the exit and looks around just to be sure no one is hearing all the screams and yelling.
-----"Damn," Runik says with an oath, "as long as I knew ye, Krord, ye ne'er be foolin' wit' them ogres!" The dwarf says this as the huge mercenary completes his yelling and stands frozen with his eyes closed.
-----Brandel reaches up and pats Krord on the shoulder bringing him out of his entrancement. Krord opens his eyes and looks down at Brandel.
-----"Take care, my friend," the shorter human says, "There may be more of their kind about."
-----Krord then nods and drops the ogre's head. After cleaning the blood from his blade on the decapitated body, he resheathes his sword.
-----Brandel holds his torch high as he leads the others into the room where Seth and the Dread Pirate are.
-----Obviously relieved that the musclebound Krord is sane again, the Dread Pirate walks out into the entryway to check the corpse of the decapitated ogre. He fastidiously steps over the pools of blood, kicking the head aside as walks over.
-----Marast watches the Dread Pirate search the large headless corpse. He pauses momentarily as the halfling rogue empties a large pouch. Seeing the contents, Marast uncharacteristically snickers as he looks over toward Runik.
-----Drawing his curiosity, the dwarven mercenary frowns and moves beside Gimplefwick to look over his shoulder.
-----The Dread Pirate, grumbling at the paucity of the loot, picks up a dwarven skull out of the ogre's pouch and yells at Runik, "Hey, Runik, anybody you know?" He then tosses a stone also from the pouch back and forth from hand to hand, trying to figure out what it was used for. He also shakes the skull, trying to find out if anything is inside.
-----The dwarf looks at the skull grimly and says, "Aye, he looks to be sumbody deservin' a bit o' avengin' on some ogres." Runik then brings his warhammer down on the lobbed-off head. He continues to strike it until a resounding crack is heard.
-----The dwarf's actions draw some interest from Krord who watches Runik with a strange expression. Brandel then yells into Seth in the next room, "Hullo, there! Are you needing any help?" The young mercenary walks into the chamber still holding his torch.
-----The Dread Pirate finally drops the sharpened rock, and holding the skull up, declaims, "Alas, poor dwarf, I knew him well." He then drops the skull, wipes his hands on his pants and continues into the room where Kazel and Seth wandered.
-----Seeing nothing above ground, Kazel comes back inside and begins to collect her caltrops before joining the group again. On his way to join Seth, the Dread Pirate yanks his throwing knives out of the decapitated ogre and picks up the one that was lying on the floor. He also dons his leather gloves and scoops up his caltrops as well, placing them back in their bag.
-----Seth looks up as Kazel and Dread and the others enter the room. "I have found here some pots, not very nice, but one is filled with copper and the other with silver coins!"
-----The Dread Pirate looks over the coins, then says, "Well, let's just load them in the cart. We need to keep moving if we're going to stay ahead of Sol's group. I'd just as soon not run into them while we're in the middle of storming Krondor's keep. They could seriously mess up whatever plan we come up with."
-----"Seth did you see anything worth looking at in the ruins?" Kazel takes one last look at the room. "Otherwise I agree we should keep moving."
-----Seth shakes his head at Kazel's question about the ruins, and then shows Krord and Runik where the pots of coins are. "Please place these up in the cart as Dread suggested. We will share them out later on." As Seth starts to move back up the stairs, he pats Brandel on the shoulder.
-----Back up top, Krord and Runik load the two large pots in the wagon. Brandel gazes out on the road ahead where about a mile off the trail pass a good-sized swampy area is on the right. He then looks back the way they came toward Grute.
-----Looking at the Dread Pirate, the young mercenary says, "Something you said a moment ago, do you think we are being followed? The reason I wonder about this is if they are on swift horses, they could possibly catch up to us before we reach Redmarsh." Brandel points to the cart as if to indicate the vehicle could slow their progress somewhat. He then looks at Seth, Kazel and the Dread Pirate.
