-----Sarah nods to Raven, "I'll be in the tavern in a few moments, I'm going to check at the trading post. I'll be right there, don't leave." She then heads to the trading post to investigate.
-----Raven looks around and then heads towards the nearest tavern to ask some questions. Romney and Abram quickly dash off after Sarah while Bradley and Shema stay with the two hunters. After tying their horses to the hitching post outside the tavern, they enter.
-----Inside, two patrons sit at opposite tables. The person behind the bar is a husky looking half elf whose ears seem to hug too closely to his head. His brown hair is brushed straight back and hangs limply down the back of his head. He quietly takes a sip from a large mug and stares at the people entering his place.
-----Raven looks around the bar and then walks up to the half-elf, "Good day." Raven leans forward towards the half-elf, "I'll be blunt, we are chasing after a group of thieving scum. I followed their trail to this town. Did an odd halfling dressed like a pirate stop in here? He'd be traveling with about six other people. They're an odd bunch to say the least."
-----The barkeep's eyes widen and he says to Raven, "Aye, they waz 'ere, they waz!" The half-elf sets down his mug and turns his full attention to the hunter. "Evenin' last they comes in 'ere n' the alflin' ye be mentionin' waz rude somethin' awful!"
-----Raven snarls, "Aye that would be him. I'm sorry you had to listen to that little shit rant last night. He does get on your nerves doesn't he? Did they say anything about where they were headed next? Did they ask any questions or say anything odd."
-----"Jest that they be a'headin' on t' Redmarsh," the half-elven barkeep replies, "Th' littl' ornery one kep' askin' 'bout th' troubles on south."
-----Rinda, Bradley and Shema listen quietly while Raven notices that the other two patrons in the place sits quietly at their tables. One of the patrons looks like a rough bearded woodsman while the other looks like a homely young man with blond hair.
-----Raven reaches into his money pouch and takes out four gold pieces. Raven slides the gold to the half-elf, "Round on me okay?"
-----Raven turns to the other two men, "Good day. You all see a funny looking halfling here last night? He's a dirty thief that stole my horse. Did any of you see which way they left?"
-----"Aye," says the woodsman, "He was with quite a bunch o' characters. Horse thief, ya say? I think they took the trail road on south toward Grute."
-----The homely blond man sits quietly staring blankly ahead. The barkeep brings over the round of drinks. As he sets them down, he excitedly nods his head agreeing with the woodsman.
-----Raven nods, "Thanks for your help." Raven leaves the tavern to meet up with the rest of the party.
-----Just as Raven is the last one to step outside the tavern, he sees Bradley and Shema looking warily around at the trees surrounding the village. The wolf stands nearby staring in the same direction softly whimpering. Rinda frowns and is just about to ask something of the hunter when they spot their companions heading back to them.
-----From the direction of the trading post comes Sarah looking a bit shaken. On each side of her are the other two guards, their own expressions reflecting uneasiness and their hands close by their swords.
-----From the other direction, the young Gorian warrior strides toward them. A look of concern is on Sol's face as he approaches.
-----Raven then looks over to the same spot the wolf is. Raven motions for the wolf to stay by him. A concerned Raven says, "What did you find out? What's wrong?"
-----"I found nothing o' use to us. It's a little concerning how tensed the farmer was." Sol looks thoughtful, as if there is more to it. He then crosses over to stand by Sarah, though his question is said to Raven, "How about you?"
-----Raven frowns, "That is odd." Raven shrugs, "Well I found out that Dread and others were here last night. They took off towards the south. We best make haste to see if I can pickup their trail again." Raven pauses, "Does everyone else sense something is watching us? From how the wolf is acting I doubt it's just bandits." Raven looks off towards the woods.
-----As she sees Sol, Sarah relaxes noticeably. "Well they didn't go to the trading post I guess, then." Sarah says. "The lady there says she didn't see them, she also said she doesn't have any belladonna or wolfsbane. Oh, and she was about the creepiest person I've ever met in my life. This whole town is scaring me."
-----She glances angrily towards the woods. "Let's get on their trail and see if whatever seems to like us so much has the courage to face us. I need something to take my aggression out on." Sarah's hands flex as if preparing magical gestures. She is ready to blast something.
