-----Sol glances at the wolf and then at the direction in concern. He shakes his head slightly, "Well, we can either try an' flush our observer out, or we can get on with what we need t'do. I'd rather pick up th' trail again than waste time here. It could be one o' the mercenaries left behind t'draw us off."
-----Raven smiles at Sarah, "Easy there killer. I pity our next foe to say the least." Raven tone holds respect for Sarah's power. Raven claps his hands together and rubs them together, "Ah the hunt continues!"
-----Just then someone emerges from the trading post and heads in the direction of the tavern and the adventurers. The person is a young woman. She wears a dress with a multi-colored skirt while her dark black hair curls about her shoulders. She carries a light colored shawl about her shoulders although the day is becoming warmer. She smiles at Sarah and the guards as she passes and casts Sol an alluring glance as she enters the tavern.
-----Before anyone can react, someone suddenly approaches the tavern from the other direction. This person is a large man who is at least a head taller than Sol. The man's form features a strong frame. Muscle bulge out beneath the light-colored shirt he wears. His black trousers are tucked into the dark and muddy boots, which adorn his feet. His light brownish hair frames his face like a wild animal mane and his eyes are dark.
-----Before he enters the tavern, he pauses momentarily and glares menacingly at Sol. A sound much like a low growl escapes him and the wolf behind Raven tenses. Within the next moment, he vanishes inside the drinking establishment.
-----Romney whispers under his breath, "By Joren, but these people of Redmarsh are peculiar!"
-----Rinda, standing next to Raven, stares at the door of the tavern. She quietly adds, "Not of the Great Hunter . . ."
-----"Well, th' large one certainly has some social skill's t'learn. He was about t'speak wi' me with his axe a'fore his boss came out an' stopped him." Sol mutters. He does a double take and looks at Rinda saying, "Hey Rinda, was that a hint that that man is one o' those werebeasties? I have t'admit, peculiar people or not, I don't like th' idea o' one o' those loose under th' villagers' noses."
-----The huntress, still staring intensely at the door, speaks barely above a whisper. "He could be," Rinda says, "and the woman too." Her attention never leaves the door and her eyes widen as if her own words have shaken her.
-----Shema lightly rubs her arm where the bandages are. The woman guard then nudges Bradley and holds out five fingers while nodding toward the tavern.
-----Bradley, his face slack with apprehension, nods back knowingly. He then whispers to the group, "Shema's right, there are at least five people in the tavern now. If they are all werebeasts . . ." Bradley stops as if his thoughts have emptied of possibilities. He then looks at his companion guards and then at Raven and Sol as if for answers.
-----"Well...." Sarah begins, wishing she had something decisive to say. "Rinda, can you detect evil? If they're evil...let's just go in there and waste 'em. We can't waste time worrying about stuff like this, either we do something about those people or we leave now. C'mon, people, decide something." Sarah snaps.
-----"Easy now. Regardless of our problems, we can't afford t'leave that many creatures o' that sort o' nature behind." Sol notes as he turns to regard the huntress, "We can't just kill them without being completely sure of what they are. Being peculiar isn't a reason...Rinda, do ye know o' some way t'force them t'change into th' creature forms? As Sarah asked, some magic or a ritual or something?"
-----Sol shifts his weight slightly and turns to regard th' trading post, "It may explain why there's no Wolfsbane or belladonna on sale."
-----Finally taking her eyes off the door, Rinda looks at Sol and says, "No, there is nothing I can do to bring about their change other than angering them."
-----The silence of the wooded village is broken by the rhythmic ringing of metal being pounded inside the armorer's shop. Down the way, two woodsmen are seen working quietly outside their small homes. All the while that heavy feeling at the backs of the adventurers continues as if something ominous watches them from the trees to the south.
-----Bradley looks slightly nervous as he glances around their position. "What if there are more of their kind living here?" he says lowly.
-----Raven looks towards the south, "We could take a look around towards the south. I got a feeling there is something down there worth checking out. Maybe we can find some clues to what is really going on here."
-----"Fine. Let's deal with this thing t'th' south. It's certainly an irritating feeling I'm getting, an' I trust yer instincts." Taking his usual path of initiative, Sol begins to head south on foot, towards the treeline.
-----Raven frowns, "Let's go in there and face 'em. We can't leave these monsters to kill any poor soul that wanders by here."
