-----Raven turns towards Rinda, "If Rinda says they are evil werebeasts, then it is as good as the Hunter telling us."
-----Raven turns back to Sol. "The Hunter has given Rinda the power to sense these creatures. We should face them now when they are not in wolf form." Raven looks towards to bar, "I don't think it will take much to set off that big one. The woman will be harder to handle. If she doesn't fight us, then do we attack her anyways? I don't care about the 'laws' of man, but they could say we are murderers."
-----Raven puts a hand of the pommel of his sword, "Doing what is right isn't always easy is it?"
-----Sarah shrugs. "Oh well. It's not like it will be hard to find those thieves again even after their trail is long gone. Which it will be if we keep waiting around here." She says pointedly. "But you want to start a fight in the tavern? Fine with me, let's go." Sarah prepares to walk boldly into the tavern after Raven.
-----Sol shrugs as he continues to walk south, now determined to deal with the supposed watcher in the trees.
-----"Hold, my friends," Romney says as if taken off guard by Raven and Sarah's quick words and action. "We," the guard says, indicating himself and the three other guards, "are sworn to protect the lives of innocents. What if those other people in the tavern are not werecreatures? Also our weapons had no effect on those monsters last night."
-----With a pleading look at the ranger and the mage, Romney says, "Please, my friends, is there not a better plan so that there will be no doubt that we are following the authority of the law?"
-----"Yes! I have a much better plan!" Sarah says maybe a little too loudly. "Let's get back on the trail of those thieves!"
-----Raven says, "The thieves headed south when they left. So we'll be killing two birds with one stone if we check out the south. Let's check the road to the south first for the thieves' trail and then we can check the woods. Okay?"
-----Raven mounts up and starts towards the south.
-----Sol stands a few yards away, glaring into the forest line that encompasses the village. Seeing the others mount up, he makes his way to them and climbs into the saddle behind Sarah.
-----The party then follows Raven on down the trail road that leads somewhat to the southwest. As they exit the village, they emerge from the large forest and see the open plains of Redmarsh before them. The sun shines warmly down on them from on high being close to the noon time hour.
-----Here Raven dismounts to begin checking the trail for signs of those they seek.
-----Back atop Marlexana with Sarah, Sol peers at each of his companions and murmurs softly so he doesn't disturb Raven's search, "What happened? I thought th' plan was t'check the tavern out with Rinda. We decided to move on instead? I'm a little uncomfortable leaving those creatures be in a village full o'...villagers."
-----Raven looks up and says, "I found their tracks. They left in hurry, they didn't try to hide their track this time."
-----This fact seems to worry Raven. He then says to Sol, "I agree about hating to leave the village, but until we have more proof we can't just attack them in public. We need to study our prey a bit more and then we can strike."
-----"An' time we don't have. Ok Raven, I won't push it." Sol looks in the direction the thieves left and adds, "If we're going t'go now, let's also pick up th' pace...we still have a fair bit o' time t'catch up."
-----Heading down the open trail, the riders see stretched before them a vast plain dotted here and there in the distance by hills, small clumps of woods and pools of water. Here they still follow the trail road as it leads off in a southwestern direction. With the sun shining warmly on everyone's shoulders, some of the concern that seemed to weigh heavily upon them appears to lighten.
-----After riding across the plains for a couple of hours, they begin looking for a place to take a quick rest. Looking back toward the east, the massive line of trees in the forest appears dark and foreboding. Raven leads them to a large open spot with hills and trees no closer than two miles in the distance. It is here that the ranger quickly dismounts and begins a thorough search of the ground. Raven's wolf runs alongside him sniffing in the places where the hunter pauses.
-----In the sky to the east, a lone buzzard circles slowly. On the ground in that direction a small clump of trees is in the distance. Between the position of the faraway trees and where the riders stop a large form appears to be laid out on the ground. Two more carrion birds stand by it, obviously satisfying their needs.
-----As Raven searches for further signs of the party's quarry, Sol spends a few moments looking silently at the distant corpse. Suddenly Sol says to Sarah, "Do ye mind a'waiting here a moment? I just need t'check th' body. Try an' distinguish whether it's something like an ogre or a half orc...or a horse."
-----The Gorian then moves to aid Sarah off Marlexana if she complies, with the intention of then riding east towards the corpse.
