-----Raven scans the crowd as Sol speaks. Raven's eyes settle on the man in black, but moves over to the one looking out the window. Raven glances back at Sarah to see what she is doing.
-----Both the man in the corner and the peasant staring out the window seem to ignore the young warrior. The gnomes at their center table turn and look at Sol briefly. They then turn back towards each other chuckling and giggling. The three finally turn toward Sol again smiling amusingly but saying nothing.
-----The man with the gold tooth blinks as small golden motes appear to twinkle momentarily in front of his face. He then smiles with an expression of welcome although there is something disgusting in his demeanor.
-----The old barkeep grunts and speaks up. "Who're ye a' makin' a ruckus in me place?" He spits quickly on the floor and then eyes Sol suspiciously.
-----"Ruckus?" Sol raises an eyebrow at the barkeep as he answers, "Name's Sol Herron." The Gorian looks around the room briefly, disappointed at the reactions from the patrons. He glances quickly at his companions and notes, "Everywhere those bastards pass through seems t'turn sour..." Giving the barkeep one last curt look, he turns his attention to the gnomes with somewhat curious resignation, "What's th' joke, guys?"
-----Raven snorts at the barkeep, but says nothing. Raven walks up to the guy looking out the window. Raven watches the man for a while and Raven says, "Good day. While you were lookin' out that window did you happen to see an odd group of thugs and thieves go by?"
-----Raven leans towards the man, "They're horse thieves and would steal that window in front of you if they could. Can you help us here?"
-----Raven's eyes lock on man waiting for him to answer.
-----Sarah glances from the gold-toothed man she probably just charmed to the bartender and then back to the gnomes, she decides to wait before casting a spell.
-----"Hey Sol," she says tugging on the warrior's sleeve. "Ask this guy some questions." She points at the gold-toothed man. "I got a funny feeling he'll be helpful to us." She glances at the bartender and then back at the gnomes, as if trying to make a decision between the two.
-----The gnomes look at Sol and then turn back toward each other. The snickering continues and their giggling begins to grow louder.
-----The man in the peasant clothes turns toward Raven and a frown grows on his face. With piercing green eyes, the man stares with a face featuring a long slender nose and brownish beard. "Does it matter?" he abruptly asks the ranger, "One thief is no better than another and I've already seen too many bandits cross my farm."
-----The gold-toothed man suddenly sees the young mage and a sparkle seems to shine in his eyes. His smile widens even further as he approaches Sarah. He begins to speak in a tone full of awe. "Ah, my dear sweet young lady! It is truly an honor to be beholden and gaze upon your beauty! Pray, let me buy you a drink and see to your comfort." His eyes continue to beam at Sarah as a small amount of spittle collects at the edge of his mouth.
-----Romney and Abram tense up as they stand on each side of Sarah glaring at the approaching gold-toothed one.
-----Bradley quietly quips to Sol as he looks around the room of strangers, "I was hungry, . . . Are you sure we want to purchase food from this . . . place?"
-----Despite the seriousness of Sol's questions, he can't help but smile slightly at the gnomes. The warrior shakes his head slightly and mutters, "Well, I'm glad yer having a grand time." Sol then returns Bradley's quip, "No, not really. Definiately one o' my worse ideas. It's probably time we moved on."
-----Sol frowns slightly as he notes the proximity between Sarah and her charmed man. Still unaware of the magic influencing the gold-toothed man's actions, the young Gorian hedges closer to Sarah and answers for her, "We...have no time fer a drink, an' we really must be going." Sol looks around at the others to confirm this decision.
-----Raven frowns, "Sorry to hear of your troubles." Raven pauses trying to find some words to help the man, but then just says, "Good day."
-----Raven turns to Sol, "Let's go back to the horse dealer and see it I can make out the tracks left by their cart."
-----"Guys, you're killing me here." Sarah says through clenched teeth. "Why were we all so eager to come here if we're just going to ask everybody once and trust what they say and then bugger off all quick like."
-----Sarah shakes her head. Sarah sits down opposite the man with the gold teeth. She grabs Sol's arm and forces him to sit between her and the gold-toothed man.
