-----Marast also stands by, his arms characteristically folded with an angry expression on his face. His eyes narrow as the rogues discuss sending him back to Oakwood. Finally, he raises an eyebrow and shrugs.
-----Stretching his arms as if anticipating the long ride ahead of him, Marast says, "Marast not like humans in temple, but Marast will go to Oakwood to get help. What you want Marast to tell humans?"
-----The Dread Pirate nods sympathetically as Marast speaks, then replies, "Aye, I know what ye mean. Bloody priests, always so sure they know what's best fer everybody. Do this, don't do that, or that. Definitely don't do that. Ooooh, ye'll burn in hell fer that. It makes an honest pirate sick, it does. I always made 'em walk the plank first, just so's I wouldn't have to listen to 'em bitch and carp. They have a disheartenin' effect on a crew, always sayin that they'll be tortured fer all eternity if they loot, pillage, or kill priests. Especially that last one. That really gets 'em riled up. Heh, nobody can curse ye like a priest." The Dread Pirate smiles, obviously recalling happier times.
-----He then says, "Just tell the priests that there be a plague here and they have a chance to keep it from spreadin if they get here quick-like and use their magics. Otherwise it might spread. And tell 'em that there be some sort o' dark power behind it, but we'll do our best to bring that down before they get here."
-----Seth searches through his pouch and finds some copper coins and two gold coins. "Marast, I know you do not like money and will not need it for the journey, but you may have need of this in the town of Oakwood."
-----He hands the money to Marast and begins to repack his pack. He quietly regards Dread after his triage on priests and mutters under his breath, "I never have had much to do with priests and religion myself."
-----The wood elf reluctantly takes the coins and looks at them oddly before stuffing them in a pouch at his belt.
-----"We will see you off," Brandel says to the elf and he waves to Runik to assist him.
-----Kazel says to Marast before he leaves, "Watch out for our three business competitors. They might still be upset or at the least highly inquisitive if you run into them. So, don't."
-----Marast then nods to the three rogues and quietly leaves the room. The other two mercenaries leave with him and Krord remains to stare glumly at Abbar.
-----After a few moments, Brandel and Runik reappear in the room. Brandel says to Seth, "We sent Marast off with three of the horses as the Dread Pirate said. If you don't mind, we also took the remaining horses and ponies and hid them behind this building." The young human shrugs, adding, "I just had a feeling it would be better if I did."
-----The dwarf speaks up, saying, "Yea, well, Marast is headed off now. We made sure he had his blanket. He gits awful cranky like if'n he doesn't have it."
-----"I would guess that Marast will make it back in three to four days," Brandel says, overlooking the dwarf's ribbing of the absent elf. "I just hope we make enough of a difference for him to lead the priests back to."
-----After checking the noonish overcast light outside, Brandel looks at his three employers and anxiously asks, "How long do we want to wait before we try to make the difference?"
-----To Brandel, Kazel says, "Hmm, usually, I like to work when it's dark, but that was usually business with the living and not the undead. I say as soon as possible."
-----The Dread Pirate says, "Well, let's see what Abbar says about starting right now. It's his turf, if anybody knows when it's safe to move, he will. I'd hate to end up fighting the guards and the undead at the same time."
-----Abbar stands and bows to the Dread Pirate. "The trick is to enter the building when the patrols are not to be seen on the streets," the strange man says. "Perhaps some of you can watch for the patrols while the strongest of you remove the boards from the door of the place?"
-----Abbar then motions for quiet and listens at the door of his room. Satisfied that nothing lurks in the hallway, he opens it and says, "Shall we go? Perhaps the dead will not be as . . . active at this time." He bows again and motions with his arm for everyone to leave.
-----Seth shrugs and shoulders his pack. He looks at Krord and says, "I guess you are strongest! I'll stand at the back and listen for patrols!" He moves around trying to position himself so he would be around second to last to leave the room. He searches in his pocket for some food scraps and calls Albert to him and begins to feed him.
-----The Dread Pirate hops to his feet, preparing to follow the others out into the street.
-----Out on the streets, Abbar leads the party without their horses this time. He hurries them along the way that they took getting to Abbar's room in the vacant inn house. They pass down the street where the child was playing, but the dirt pile is now abandoned.
