-----On the first throw of the lasso by the Dread Pirate, the rope lands perfectly over one of the boxes. Handing the rope over to Krord, the huge merc then begins slowly reeling in the rope. A few coins occasionally slip off the top making a ringing sound as they hit the floor.
-----Just as Kazel moves past them, movement takes place at the opposite end of the chamber. A person wearing dark plate armor and a hideous skull helm steps out from behind one of the far columns. In one hand, he holds the shaft of a large scythe. His other hand waves the air as his voice groans lowly.
-----Suddenly, Krord's eyes grow large as his arms are suddenly pinned against his sides. Just as it is apparent Krord cannot move, more undead, close to a dozen, begin slowly stalking from behind the other columns.
-----The Dread Pirate begins to grin, justified in his paranoia, then his grin falters as the horde of skeletons and their master appears and Krord goes comatose, "Ummm, now would be a good time to use yer potion, Abbar. Abbar, get yer hide up here and turn those skeletons on their boss over there."
-----Seth's eyes almost bug out of his head at the unexpected happenings in the treasure room. No one is going to stop him from examining those art works! He almost explodes as he cannot decide what to do and then suddenly he punches out his fist aiming at the dark-plate-armour-wearing-Art-stealer and imagines his evil skull helmed head being forced through the very matter of the walls of the room. He screams 'Sabba Sa!!!' and then in a low and even tone, "I will not be denied my Art Work! Fiend!"
-----Kazel winces with each ring of a dropping coin as everyone focuses on the loot. As the skull-faced figure and its army emerges, she quickly ducks into the shadows behind the closest column not surrounded by undead.
-----The hushed silence takes hold just before the magical force erupts from Seth's ring. The transparent ram force flies across the chamber striking the hideously armored one knowing him over on his back. As he struggles to get up, he screams in a voice resembling rusty nails scratching across a plate of glass, "Destroy them!"
-----Kazel makes her way to one of the columns but has trouble finding true cover in its shadows as two dark forms move toward her.
-----Brandel quickly moves to Krord's side. The young man tries to free the huge one's arms from his sides but Krord appears truly helpless.
-----Abbar slowly uncorks one of his vials and eases the potion down his throat. Runik impatiently stands by thumping his palm with his hammer. He looks back and forth between the merchant slowly taking the potion and the approaching undead.
-----The walking dead seems a bit more whole than the ones the rogues met out in the sewer. Though decaying, there is more rotted skin and muscle that are more intact. They continue their slow shuffling motion toward the party.
-----The Dread Pirate hums a jaunty sea tune somewhat nervously as he first watches the approaching zombies, then Abbar slowly quaffing his potion. He then turns to Seth and says, "Look at that guy's skull helmet. It'd make a nice addition to our adventurers' museum. Let's try not to wreck it when we kill him. I'd also like one of those animated skulls if somebody would fish it out of the sewage back there."
-----Kazel runs past the shuffling zombies at the skull-faced man. As she passes behind a column between her and the figure, she puts on the ring to disappear from his sight.
-----Seth eyes the skull helm and considers it a fitting addition to any home or museum. To assist the armoured man in staying down, he reaches into his pocket and finds a piece of fat. He concentrates and then releases the grease spell directly at the floor around the man.
-----Seth smiles happily that everything seems ok, except for Krord and now that Abbar has drunk the potion he can get down to the business of examining the art works.
-----Feeling somewhat left out of the proceedings, Gimplefwick whips out his sling and crouches behind Krord for cover. When the moment seems propitious, he lets fly a bullet towards the unhappy skull-helmed guy. Dread is careful to avoid hitting the zombies, as he doesn't want to interfere with Abbar's potion.
-----Seth casts his spell and very quickly the floor area on the low platform gets a glazed look to it. The screechy voice from underneath the skulled helm continues angry curses as the one in the armor struggles furiously in his prone position.
-----In the next few seconds, events occur quickly! Kazel makes it behind a column followed by a sluggishly pacing undead. The creature moves around the column and appears from the other side of the support structure apparently unable to find the girl butcher!
-----The Dread Pirate lets go with his sling bullet but the missile goes high and smacks the far wall above the flailing figure in the greased area.
