-----At that moment, Kazel runs back with a torch. She stops just a few paces behind the Dread Pirate continuing the momentum in her arm. With that, her torch sails across through the air, just as the skull man raises his scythe in the casting of some dreadful spell. As his eyes catch the approaching flaming object, they widen and his mouth opens in astonishment. The torch then hits him in the chest incredibly igniting the bit of oil there. The skull man screams as the flames race up his chest, neck and face area.
-----"OFF ME!" Runik yells as his warhammer slams into the gross creature attacking him. His weapon makes a bone crushing sound as it connects with the creature's ribs, but the undead continues its attacks.
-----Seth fires his crossbow, but the bolt slams into the wall just to the right of the burning skull man, missing him.
-----The Dread Pirate throws his second knife, which finds the other undead in the slick mess. The frenzied motions increase in the two stuck dead things.
-----Brandel then wades in beside Runik. The young merc draws his sword across the torso of the rabid undead, slicing deeply. The evil thing claws the air before it collapses and lies motionless.
-----The armored skull man manages to throw his helmet off his head though the front of his armor is still alight with oil. "MY EYES!" he screams. What is revealed beneath the helmet is a pale, whitish, bald head with scars crossing it though the skin now reddens at the flames burning the wretch.
-----Seth reloads his crossbow and again takes aim at the now burning armoured man, with the patched up skull.
-----The Dread Pirate makes a disgusted face at the sight of the pale, whitish head revealed on the armored figure and says, "Arrrgghhh, I'd be wearin a helmet too if'n I were that butt-ugly." Undeterred by his new found sympathy for the butt-ugly man, Dread whips a couple more knives at the floundering undead in the grease pit.
-----His first throw plants a knife firmly in the chest of one of the struggling gross ones. Its claws quiver before it falls onto its back, its undead existence finally over.
-----"Hey Lass," Runik asks turning toward Kazel, "You gots any more a'that oil fer burnin'?" He keeps an eye on the last of the undead and the exposed skull man. Seeing Gimplefwick destroy one of the undead, the dwarf then mutters, "Maybe we don't be a'needin' it." He then stands ready with his hammer.
-----Brandel starts to approach the last writhing undead, but as he comes close to the steps, he recoils slightly. "Ugh!" he exclaims, cupping his hand over his nose, "what is that gods' cursed awful stench?"
-----The last dead thing scraps at the slick stone floor making irritating raking sounds. The Dread Pirate throws his second knife at it, but he just barely misses it.
-----As the skull man frantically bats at the flames assaulting his face, Seth shoots his crossbow. This time the bolt thuds heavily into the man's upper arm causing him to scream more in the overwhelming agony.
-----As the last of the small flames are extinguished, the skull man looks at the rogues' party silhouetted with the blazing webs behind them. Seeing the futility of his situation, he grasps the door nearby him and scrambles to enter the dark opening. Unfortunately for him, the greased area once again begins to impede his escape.
-----Kazel joins the others in shooting the undead with her bow while the skull man burns.
-----Seth again takes aim at the unhelmed one. Determined that while the grease has tripped him up, he will fill him full of bolts to stop him casting spells.
-----The Dread Pirate upon seeing the armored figure attempting to escape, scowls and hurls his next two knives at him, opting to allow the stinky undead to wallow in the greased area, since Brandel and Kazel both seem to be keeping an eye on it.
-----Both of Gimplefwick's knives fire across and impale the evil one in the legs and the upper arm. At about the same time, Seth fires his crossbow and his bolt finds its place in the upper thigh of the target close to the groin. The screams from the burned skull-like face have an irritating quality doing little to draw sympathy from his attackers.
-----The single undead still scrambling in the greased area lifts itself up on all fours but makes little progress to where it can attack. The thing stares at the party wagging its tongue while it make incoherent growling noises.
-----Though well wounded, the skull man suddenly gains his footing stumbling out of the enspelled area and begins limping down the darkened area through the door.
-----Kazel fires at the uprighted dead and her first shot strikes the disgusting thing in its left shoulder. As she draws another arrow, her weapon misfires splitting the arrow shaft.
-----Brandel quickly draws his longbow and fires two shots. Both arrows miss the struggling thing causing the young mercenary to grunt in frustration as well as pain.
