-----"Destroy them!" the skull-helmed one screams at the undead revealed in the door. There now appears to be two more of the leering dead along with the one struggling in the greased area beside Kazel.
-----Brandel tears into the zombie stalking Runik forcing it to fall onto its knees.
-----Meanwhile Kazel gathers her strength and flings the torch at the menacing armored one. He flinches as the torch sails past him and strikes the wall. At the same time, Kazel spikes her dagger into the stone of the platform and kicks herself away from the grease. She regains her footing as the undead thing continues to struggle madly. The other two undead bare their teeth and rush forward where they too slip and flounder in Seth's enspelled area.
-----Kazel moves away from the steps, fighting to keep from retching.
-----Runik hefts his warhammer as high over his head as he can muster before bringing it down squarely on the zombie crawling in front of him. The thing's head explodes from the force sending pieces of bone, dead skin and goo flying in different directions. As he pants with the zombie finally destroyed in front of him, he calls out, "Lass?" hoping Kazel will respond.
-----Undaunted, Kazel throws caltrops between her and the undead coming through the doorway. She then starts to remove the torches on the columns one by one and keeps throwing them at the helmed man until she hits, avoiding any obvious threats in the way and leaving the last one for some light in the room. She also keeps far enough away from the new creatures and their effects. As she busies herself with that, she yells back to Runik, "What?"
-----The Dread Pirate, happily unwounded in the fray, skitters backwards and sheaths his cutlass while pulling out a throwing knife. Content in his ability to outmaneuver the now legless zombie, Gimplefwick begins tossing knives at his enemy from a distance.
-----Seth crouches down and retrieves his crossbow and moves over to the door and checks it to see if it has been trapped. He then tries to open it to see if it is locked.
-----With a skillful throw, the Dread Pirate lobs a knife, which strikes the final zombie in the forehead. Its body collapses finally, ending its part in the battle.
-----Kazel quickly scatters her caltrops and queasily makes her way to the closest column on the right of the platform. From there, she throws another oil potion aiming at the feet of the man in the skull helm. Her toss goes wide and shatters in the greased area a few feet from her target.
-----On the platform, the armored man makes his way out of the enspelled area and picks up his scythe.
-----Brandel, seeing all of the zombies destroyed, quickly grabs a torch from a column and rushes toward Seth's webbing. There he pauses while watching the four undead struggle in the thick strands. "Shall I burn the rest of these bastards?" he yells looking at the Dread Pirate.
-----Up on the platform, two of the undead things continue to convulse seeking an escape from the grease. One, however, now gains its balance on its hands and knees. As it slowly crawls toward the edge, it snarls menacingly at Kazel. A long strand of drool drips from its thick tongue and pointed teeth.
-----By this time, Seth has made his way to the back door closely inspecting it.
-----"Good to see yer still wit' us, Lass!" comes Runik's voice as he makes his way behind the half-elven butcher. As Kazel looks down at him, she can see the dwarf is battered, bloodied and bruised as he stares straight ahead at the three undead and the armored man. As Runik stands beside Kazel, he raises his warhammer and mutters a dwarven battle oath.
-----Kazel pats Runik on the shoulder and says, "Easy now, let them come to us first. But yes let's burn all of them." She continues to try to torch up the armoured man but stay well away from the new zombies.
-----The Dread Pirate grins at Brandel and gives him the thumbs up, assenting to the torching of the zombies. He then holds a throwing knife in either hand and races around one end of the webbed area, joining Kazel, whereupon he commences tossing knives at the slobbering enemies in the greased area.
-----Seth loads his crossbow and aims at the armoured figure once again. He calls out to Dread, "I can't open the door, there are no handles or latches or anything!"
-----Kazel spins and races to retrieve another torch. As she does, a great whoosh goes up as Brandel sets fire to the webs containing zombies.
-----Gimplefwick throws one of his knives, which thuds loudly into the neck of one of the undead in Seth's greased area. A blackish ooze drains from where the blade sticks out of the dead skin causing both dead things to thrash even more furiously in their frustration to get up.
-----Suddenly one of the gruesome dead launches itself from the short steps and runs at Runik. It quickly swipes at the dwarf with its claw-like hands, opening its mouth blasting Runik with its wretched breath. "Moradin's Hammer!" the dwarf swears as he hefts his weapon.
