-----The elf then narrows his gaze at Sarah. "You save temple in Oakwood? You save stupid human castle not far from here? You kill ogres in ruins?"
-----Marast continues his angry speech looking at Raven. "Halfling and half-elves come to town to look for dragon. Yes, you hear. After what you not hear, halfling and half-elves talk to people. Lead us to dead. Also, ones who send sickness on town. Halfling now dead and half-elves gone. You chase."
-----"Town dying. You lock Marast up. Town will soon be filled with dead that walk. You soon get sickness too." The elf makes no move to put his bow down. He simply reiterates, "You stop Marast, town will die."
-----"Marast. Less than an hour ago everyone else was quite alive." Sol growls angrily, "Ye have t'understand how hard it is t'trust those who betrayed us. Ye've offered us no proof one way or th' other."
-----Sol's left hand raises to his forehead as his head lowers. He massages his temple as if dealing with a headache for some moments, before looking back at Marast. Quietly he mumbles, "We have t'know th' truth one way or another. Bloody hell."
-----Still looking at Marast, the Gorian says evenly to some...too evenly, "Garrison, Bradley, Romney. Keep a short perimeter watch. We don't want t'be jumped while conversing. Sorry t'draft ye Garrison, but ye've probably got th' best chance o' noticing someone, since this is like yer homeground."
-----"Sarah, I think...I think it's time t'sip from th' potion Raven gave ye. We have t'know." Sol's strained voice almost gurgles as he makes his request.
-----Garrison replies to Sol, "Glad to help out." He smiles slightly to echo his words. The three quickly get into position keeping an eye on their surroundings.
-----Marast glares suspiciously in Sarah's direction. Abram and Shema quickly move in front of the young mage to shield her from any mischief the elf might try.
-----Marast nods toward the walled town and angrily says to Sol, "Blood of all in town . . . on your hands!"
-----Rinda looks over at Sarah to watch her prepare the potion.
-----"Wow Marast, that's an awful lot o' blood. If what ye say is true...then I'll make sure Oakwood sends help. So yes. Ye can consider yerself relieved o' that responsibility." Sol says wearily before adding, "Ye getting rather high seated now, considering ye were part o' a troop that abandoned their station. An' then hooked up wi' a bunch who stole from others." No anger can be detected in Sol's tone. It sounds as if he is merely making a statement.
-----Raven says to Marast to distract him from noticing Sarah, "Marast, who is behind the sickness here? If what you say is true, then we'll help you and your comrades." Raven leans forward in his saddle, "By the way, what kind of monster killed Dread?"
-----Marast sets his jaw and fumes. He tells Sol, "You mock dead and dying ones. You mock others you know nothing about. Halfling was right, you humans too foolish."
-----The elf then haughtily looks at the hunter. "Marast not want your help. You no help now. Stupid humans in town keep no help. Town is dying with disease while dragon flies, but humans no help. You waste time!" An impatient light begins to come into the elf's eyes and his grip tightens on his bow.
-----Sol shakes his head in disagreement, "I mock no one, Marast. Yer right, I don't know th' full story behind yer troop leaving Redmarsh, but I am making a point here. Stop being so obstinate so as not t'see it. An' will ye stop referring t'th' dragon...The damn beast is dead, slain by my companions a'fore it cooked me in its juices."
-----Noticing the elf's grip on his bow, the Gorian suggests, "Relax Marast. Yer of no use t'yerself or yer companions dead."
-----Sarah glares at Marast. "You steal heroes' horses? You try to stop good people? You mercenary work for thieves?" She represses the urge to spit at him and drinks the potion Raven gave her. "You're mine now, Marast." She says to him.
-----Raven quits talking to Marast and tenses his grip on his bow in his lap. Raven can be heard whispering, "Work...work damn you."
-----"Heroes . . ." begins Marast, but suddenly the words seem to freeze on his lips. He looks at Sarah as if something has caught his attention. The tension strangely begins to leave his face; the frown still remains though not as intense. His breathing seems to slow though he still grips his bow.
-----A few silent seconds pass as everyone seems to hold their breaths while watching the elf. Sol then quietly asks him what has happened to the pirate and his companions. However the elf says nothing keeping his attention on the Lord Wizard's daughter. He cocks his head to one side as if trying to recognize Sarah in a way he was not aware of before.
-----"Sarah, could ye ask him t'answer all of our questions?" Sol asks, wincing at the dramatic change in the elf's demeanour.
