-----Suddenly down below on the floor of the chamber, at least a half dozen forms jump out from the shadows. In the dim lighting they appear to be more robed followers. As they peer around the large chamber, they yell as if enraged.
-----Garrison, who has just helped Rinda out of the slick floor area, quickly spins and draws his bow. Two arrows leave his bow, one of which fails to strike any of the intruders. Grunting a curse at his carelessness, Garrison fires his second arrow, which strikes one of the robed one dropping the person to the floor dead.
-----"Raven! They may need ye down there!" Sol calls to the hunter and an emitted curse follows at the Gorian's current inability to reach the coming downstairs battle fast enough. Instead he slowly plows forward, a little unsteadily at first as he deals with some balance issues, then taking one firm step at a time. Ignoring the added weight he feels, Sol indulges in visions of this magic using cultist without a head.
-----A light gasp escapes Sarah's throat and her brows furrow. She points at Sol and casts a spell. "Let's see whose magic is stronger." She says under her breath, "Or if this fails let's see whose body can take more magic missiles." She is fully enraged at what the wizard did to Sol.
-----The flaming sphere before the heroes stops as Sarah turns her attention toward the young warrior. As she speaks her magic and caresses the air with her arms, a golden glow seems to surround Sol. Small yellowish motes appear and seem to draw tiny transparent grayish globs from the Gorian's form. In a blink of an eye, the golden motes surround the globs devouring them in their brilliance.
-----As the golden glow and motes fade away, Sol stands a bit taller; all signs of the weakness and weight gone from his gallant form.
-----Sarah smiles cheerily. "That's more like it." She says happily, before sending the ball of fire after the wizard again.
-----"Hah!" Sol exclaims happily as he once more launches towards the cultist mage. Conscious of the globe of flames in between, Sol dodges aside and begins to run parallel to the sphere.
-----Raven looks back towards the first floor and then says to Sol, "Aye, I'll take care of 'em." Raven turns and runs back down the stairs. With a loud growl, Raven leaps off the stairs and bowls into one of the robed figures.
-----Seeing his magic dispelled, the wizard on the balcony turns from Sol and runs further on the balcony that now seems to circle the upper part of the chamber.
-----The hunter leaps directly into a robed follower. The momentum carries them into another robed person unaware of the sudden attack. Raven comes up with both swords in his hands and quickly finishes both of his foes before they can bear their swords.
-----Seeing three more followers on the main floor plus the shadowed mage that Sol now intends to chase, Romney yells, though he remains sliding in the slick area, "Surrender yourselves, vile ones, in the name of Oakwood and all of Hearthorn!"
-----Shema, not too far from him, steels herself as she tries to regain her own balance.
-----As Sol runs parallel to the flaming sphere, he momentarily gets too close. The Gorian warrior grimaces as he is affected by the heat. He then runs on ahead gaining ground from the rolling flame and draws his sword.
-----Lovan closely begins to follow Sol, but then slows as he nears the flaming sphere. "Damn, woman," he exclaims at Sarah as he holds up his hands warding off the heat.
-----Down on the floor, Garrison begins to turn to help the two guards from Oakwood when Rinda admonishes him saying, "Do not set your bow aside. We can take the prey down first!" He then scrambles for his weapon as the huntress readies her own bow.
-----Just then, to the right side of the altar area, a man-sized form wearing armor and a great horned helmet walks out of the shadows. Holding his arms out in front of him, he intones something in a cruel and commanding voice.
-----Garrison suddenly groans out as he drops his bow. He immediately stands straight and rigid with his arms at his sides.
-----The man with the horned helmet then points at Raven commanding the followers, "Kill that beast! We will offer his heart and soul to the True Lord of the Pits!"
-----Rinda, shocked into a different course of action after seeing Garrison's plight, aims at the new intruder and fires. Her arrow goes wide drawing a curse from the huntress. Quickly she notches another arrow listening to the man threaten Raven. "You shall not take my love from me! How about we send you to hell!" she shouts as she fires. The arrow launches straight at the evil one striking evenly into the man's upper thigh injuring him. The pain drops the man to his knee.
