-----The helmed form seems to freeze momentarily in the dim lighting. As the huntress's spell takes hold, the man's body becomes rigid and his arms extend by his sides.
-----Rinda looks over at Raven and smiles. She then looks aloft toward the balcony where sounds of fighting continue.
-----Raven returns Rinda's smile, "Well done, my love. Best make sure this bastard gives us no more trouble." Raven runs up to the held man and looks him in the eye. "Take my heart would you? Better warriors than you have tried and died." Raven then proceeds to savagely hammer the man using the hilt of his swords as weapons. It takes Raven three hammering blows before he is confident that the evil one behind the helmet is unconscious. The body falls to the floor under the shock of Raven's punches as the hunter takes to the stairs.
-----Rinda takes off after Raven yelling back to the two guards to watch Garrison and the evil one. As Raven comes to the top of the stairway again, he sees that the balcony seems to circle the entire upper part of the chamber.
-----Strangely to his left is Sarah's flaming sphere, still burning in the middle of the balcony way but it sits motionless. There appears to be no sign of Sarah or Lovan.
-----Across the way, Raven can see Sol struggling with someone at his feet. Opposite the young warrior, another armored person in a horned helmet approaches him. In the right hand of this person is a three-foot long sword-like blade of flame!
-----The man at Sol's feet suddenly draws a dagger and stabs at the young warrior. As it fails to penetrate the Gorian's armor, Sol stabs down again but the mage avoids the thrust! As Sol swings at him again, the man begins to roll trying to move out of Sol's arm range. The Lathanian blade comes into contact with the stone floor missing the infuriating foe.
-----As Raven and Rinda come into view, they run to the right of the stairs approaching the one in the horned helmet from the other side of the balcony. The evil one spots them and begins to back up toward the shadows. As Raven charges, the evil one points at him with his left hand and shouts, "I COMMAND YOU, FALL!"
-----Just as the evil words are uttered, Raven seems to take to the air. At this point, it is uncertain whether the evil one's spell took effect on the hunter as Raven crashes into the evil priest stabbing him with at least one blade. The momentum carries both men to the stone floor of the balcony.
-----Rinda runs toward the downed evil one's head and swings. Her club, however, slams the stones near his helmet.
-----At that moment, Lovan's angry voice is heard from across the way, "BY THE RAGER, WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"
-----Sol presses forward, refusing to give the mage time to cast another spell. He swings his blade down in a diagonal arc hoping to deny his opponent as much room as possible.
-----Raven looks down at the evil one he bowled into and says, "I don't follow your commands, you dark souled bastard." Raven then tries to ram one of his swords into the man's side.
-----The mage's dagger swoops at Sol's legs again, but it is a swing of desperation and misses widely.
-----Raven's sword finds its home as it slips between two armored plates and stabs deeply into the man. The scream the man under the horned helm lets out is filled with as much terror as pain.
-----Suddenly, Lovan runs up behind Sol seemingly out of nowhere. "By the Rager," the priest customarily exclaims, but this time he sounds impressed.
-----The evil priest tries to bring his flame blade to bear on the hunter, but Raven's savageness seems too much for him. The flame blade cuts through the air striking nothing.
-----Seeing the opening, Raven strikes again, stabbing his blade into the arm pit under the priest's extended arm. Badly wounded, the priest screams again and tries to push back from the ranger. The eyes under the helmet grow large and frantic; the flame blade vanishes as it is forgotten.
-----Arcing his blade, Sol brings his sword down slicing into the prone mage's neck. The ancient blade nearly cleaves through the neck bringing a large flow of blood and twitching from the dying body.
-----Rinda quickly draws her own short sword and holds it against the horned one's neck. As the man freezes, the huntress looks at Raven and asks, "Should we put this prey out of his misery?"
-----The expression beneath the helm registers uncertainty as the man seems to hold his breath with his eyes large and panicked.
-----Raven's eyes flash with rage and for a moment it seems the man's fate is sealed, but then Raven backs off from the wounded man. "I'll let Lovan decide his fate." Raven bends down and cleans his swords using the wounded man's cloak. Raven says, "Let's see who wanted me dead."
