-----Just at that moment, an explosion of firelight blasts from one of the upper hallways that Sol and Romney traveled down. In the next instant, it is gone and Romney's voice is heard yelling out, "Sol, are you all right?"
-----Raven quickly turns to look where the blast came from. Raven then faces the wounded man. "You lied to me. Either someone else is here or you let my friend stumble into a trap. You want the gates of hell to open?" With a quick trust Raven rams his sword into the man's chest, "Open them yourself, you dark souled son of a whore." Even before the man drops to the ground, Raven is running towards the source of the blast.
-----As the evil priest's body collapses to the floor dead, Sarah, Rinda and Lovan follow the running hunter. They charge past the stairs leading downward toward a dimly lit hallway. Openings appear on each side of the hallway for access to side rooms.
-----A few feet ahead of the party, they see Romney standing outside of one room peering in. They can hear Sol's laughter from within the room. The guard stands aside to let them enter.
-----As they enter the room, they see the young warrior standing over an opened footlocker next to a pallet. At one end of the pallet, an opened chest reveals a large pile of gold and electrum coins. Along one wall behind Sol is a long table featuring small statues and idols.
-----As Sol looks into the locker, everyone can see his face and hands are slightly reddened and his eyebrows look singed.
-----"Oh, I'm sorry." Sol offers contritely as he looks up from the locker to the others, "I didn't mean t'distract ye all. But I'm glad yer here. Sarah, this locker has some paperwork in it. Could ye take a look at it?"
-----Sarah starts laughing as she sees Sol. "Sol, darling...you're absolutely crazy!" Sarah says, trying to hold back her laughter. She moves over and wraps her arms around the warrior's waist, staring up at his face. "Hey...that looks worse up close." She says, "Hang on." Sarah applies some herbs and powders to Sol's face, ignoring his protests.
-----"Now, let's see this paperwork...." she says, bending over and looking in the chest, she glances at the idols. "And someone should look at those statues, maybe we can turn them in to the priests in Oakwood or something."
-----Raven smiles as he says to Sol, "How's your treasure hunt goin'? Find anything good?"
-----Sol returns Raven's smile as he answers, "Nothing that interesting unless the two parchments in this locker reveal any useful information. 'Sides that there's a wooden scroll tube, some suitably dark looking ceremonial robes and this pouch with two vials o' liquid." The young warrior holds up a pouch that looks something similar to satin.
-----Sol walks over to Raven and hands over the pouch as he says, "Have these, I'll be back in a minute. There's something I left in another room." He leaves quickly and returns in the said time frame, where he waits for Sarah to reveal the contents of the parchments.
-----Raven takes the potions out of the sack and looks at them. Raven says to Sarah, "When you have a minute, could you check these out?" Raven places them in one of his belt pouches and then waits for Sol to return.
-----Sarah intensely looks over the two parchments. As she does, a violent pounding interrupts the quiet as Lovan begins shattering the small collection of statues and idols on the table. Everyone jumps at the noise of his hammer and, as the priest finishes his work, Rinda raises her eyebrows and comments, "I cannot say I disagree with what he has done. Those objects seemed wrong to me."
-----By the time Sarah has finished her reading, Sol has returned to the room. Garrison's voice calls to them now from down the hall at the top of the stairs, "Raven? Anybody? Everyone all right?"
-----Raven yells back to Garrison, "We're up here, Garrison. We're fine, be down in a minute." Raven turns to Lovan, "Has the Rager taken care of the other evil priest?"
-----"Other evil priest?" Lovan says frowning. The Rager's priest's expression then changes into a devious smile. "You are telling me there is another of their priests still alive?"
-----"That is who Garrison and our guard Shema is watching," Rinda answers. The huntress then turns toward Sarah to see if the young mage offers any insight into what she reads.
-----"Still alive? What happened t'th' first?" Sol asks curiously, as he heads over to the chest filled with gold and electrum. He begins to sift through the coinage for anything different, though the Gorian only seems half interested in the activity as he occasionally glances at Sarah to see if she has finished with her investigation.
