-----"A good trick." Sol grins at the suspended disc, as he begins to circle the ledge. The Gorian appears to be heading towards where the ledge rises on the other side of the tower. As Sol passes one of the windows, he glances outside, then returns his watch to the interior.
-----Sarah makes an ugly face at the floating disc. "Figures." She mutters. "The one day I don't memorize any sort of spell that will let me float or fly or anything. But maybe...Chessie are you awake?" Sarah reaches out to her owl friend, to see if he stirs or not. "When Chessie wakes up he might be able to fly over and pick up those scrolls for me...tomorrow I'll be able to fly over and get them all."
-----Still strolling around towards the stairs, Sol asks the group, "Does anyone have any rope, or do we have t'wait till Raven returns?"
-----Lovan simply shrugs and Garrison answers disappointedly, "No, I don't have any rope with me." The woodsman continues to look over the suspended chamber searching with his eyes for ways to climb over.
-----"Oh okay...shut up Chessie." Sarah mumbles out loud after a telepathic conversation with her owl. She then casts a rather complicated spell. "I knew I was forgetting something." She mutters.
-----Sarah Night takes off from a stand still and flies over to the suspended area. She gathers everything she can hold, and flies back over to the other side, deposits it, and then flies back to inspect what she can't move.
-----As Sarah returns to the ledge with a large reddish bound book, Sol makes his way halfway up the stairs to the next level. Suddenly, Garrison turns toward the door that leads back downstairs. He hisses out toward the others, "Someone's on the stairs." The woodsman quickly tightens his grip on his bow.
-----"It's probably just Raven or Romney." Sol guesses calmly. Or is it calm? Perhaps a stunned devoidness of feeling is a more appropriate description. As Sol was climbing the next set of stairs, he had been watching Sarah's aerial travel with wide-eyed wonder.
-----A sobered look crosses his face briefly as Sol stops his ascent and speaks to the woodsman further, "There's enough life in th' town that I'm sure we would've heard a hue an' cry if someone spotted a possible source o' trouble. Still, give us a yell if I'm completely wrong." The Gorian glances one more at Sarah, then continues to climb the stairs up to the next level.
-----"Hmmm..." Sarah thinks, a beautiful smile playing across her lips as she notices Sol's reaction to her flying. She takes off yet again and lands back in the middle column, figuring that if there is an opponent around she doesn't need to be out in the open. She then opens the book and takes a peek at what's inside.
-----Garrison cautiously begins moving out the door leading to the descending stairs. "Hold it!" his voice is heard, followed quickly by "You're right, it's Raven and Rinda returning."
-----The woodsman then reenters the room followed by the two hunters. Rinda's expression belies her astonishment as well as her unease with the strange chamber as she glances across at Sarah.
-----"Ho Raven, Rinda!" Sol calls in greeting from up the stairs. "Another couple of doors here..."
-----"Oh wow..." Sarah mutters as she looks at the book. She sits down at the desk in the middle area and crosses her legs as she stares at the pages. "This is so cool...." She says softly. As usual when she discovers new spells, the Lord Wizard's daughter has become totally oblivious to the outside world.
-----Raven waves back to Sol and then continues to examine the room. It's clear by Raven's expression that he feels uneasy about being in this room. Raven turns to Sarah and says, "Where's the owner of the books you're reading?"
-----Raven pauses waiting for Sarah to reply. When it is clear Sarah is lost in the book, Raven turns to Garrison. "What do we know about the owner of this place?"
-----"Dead." Is all Sarah seems to have time to reply.
-----Raven raises an eyebrow, "Dead?" Raven turns to Garrison, "Could you fill me in?"
-----Lovan crosses his arms as he surprisingly looks patient for a moment.
-----Garrison smiles and shakes his head as he sees Sarah exhibit her peculiar study habits. Turning toward Raven, he answers, "This place seemed to have belonged to that damnable wizard that changed into a red dragon."
-----Motioning toward the place where Sarah is, he adds, "That must be where he kept his magic books."
-----Raven frowns, "Really? How in the hell did I miss that?! I thought that wizard was attacking the tower." Raven pauses for moment and then shrugs his shoulders, "Boy, I missed that bit of information by a mile huh? I'll check on Sol, I guess." Raven starts heading towards Sol.
-----Rinda follows Raven on up the next set of steps that Sol went up. Somewhere up there, Sol is heard laughing pleasantly as if he has discovered something.
-----Garrison eyes that direction as Lovan takes to the ascending stairs himself, a look of curiosity on his face. The woodsman continues to watch over Sarah as she pores through the book.
