-----Sarah briefly kisses Sol before swinging herself up onto Marlexana. "Be good darling." She says quickly, then she follows Raven's lead, keeping her sharp eyes peeled for the troll.
-----Sol smiles lopsidedly at the departing mage and answers, "Of course."
-----Raven examines the area for a minute and then says, "The troll ran off towards those woods. We best leave with all haste if we are to catch our prey." Raven says to Sol, "Rest well friend." Raven pauses to find more words, but then he just puts a hand on Sol's shoulder. Raven then turns and walks towards the woods. Raven readies his bow and then starts to follow the tracks.
-----"An' good hunting." Sol replies warmly.
-----Sol looks over at Romney and solemnly asks the guard, "Would Shema ha' prefered t'be consigned t'th' earth, or t'be cremated on a pyre? I...think she should be put t'rest an' I could get started while th' others hunt th' troll. What say ye?"
-----Romney nods appreciatively to Sol. Gaining his voice, he answers the Gorian saying, "Shema should be put to rest in the ground."
-----As Raven begins moving toward some trees surrounding the tower, the others begin to follow. Romney turns once more with a respectful look toward Sol and says, "My thanks to you, my friend." The guard nods once more and follows the rest of the party, leaving Sol with the Sun Priestess.
-----Sol watches them wistfully as the party heads toward the woods. He wishes that he could go with them, but he knows that his job here is no less important. With a sharp mental shove, Sol rids himself of his mental demons and begins to prepare for this solemn duty.
-----First things first. The Gorian turns around to face the sun priestess and introduces himself, "I'm sorry. I didn't even catch yer name. . . rode off too quickly. My name is Sol Herron." He bows slightly and heads towards Thunder, asking as he does so, "Do ye happen t'have a shovel handy or any other digging tools?"
-----As he listens to the priestess' answer, Sol beats out as much dirt as possible using his hands. A rather silly plan that turned out to be. Still, though the rest of his clothes are ruined, it's rather ironic that he had taken his surcoat off before the battle. He reaches into the saddlebags and puts it on and then tries to adjust his body to the current level of pain.
-----The sun priestess replies to Sol, "I am Beleya, . . . of Solarius."
-----At that moment, they are interrupted by two curious men from the village. Both men, probably no more than ten years older than Sol and wearing work clothes, carefully look around and then approach. "Is it over?" they ask.
-----"We can only hope," Beleya says to them. "though those who have helped us have suffered a loss among their own." The priestess indicates the body of Shema. She then bids the men to bring the body to the temple and to bury it in a field next to the temple.
-----"You are very kind, Sol Herron," the sun priestess says turning back to the Gorian. "These men will tend to the burial of your friend while you accompany me back to the temple. Perhaps there is more healing that can be bestowed upon you."
-----Sol frowns slightly at the thought of other people dealing with Shema, but nods reluctantly to the priestess. Sol was here to guard Beleya after all. In the light of this fact he answers, "Lead on then, Beleya. I'd prefer it though, if ye'd tend t'yerself first an' foremost. I'm sort of....getting used to this." The young warrior smiles slightly as he indicates his condition.
-----Thunder comes at Sol's beckoning and the wounded Gorian helps Beleya up behind him. As they ride toward the village to the temple, the sun priestess says, "The village owes you a great deal to you and your friends, Sol Herron. The people here have been afraid these past few weeks to venture past their homes at night and never toward the vicinity of the tower. Merkulus has been very quiet in his dealings since he came to Nox many months ago. It has been only recently that with the arrival of the foul one called Gu and the troll that true intentions have been learned."
-----As Thunder carries them into the village, a few people exit their small homes and approach calling to Beleya for news.
-----"Take heart my friends!" she answers to them, "for this day the evil wizard and his foul accomplice have been slain by this noble warrior and his friends. Even now, the troll is being tracked down."
-----This news is taken with slack-jawed expressions and then exclaims of relief and happiness.
-----Quickly, Beleya adds, "Our hero, Sol Herron, has been greatly injured and I must tend to him. Jon O'Kray and Kel Hamm are near the tower bringing the noble fallen for burial. The bodies of the evil wizard and foul one must be disposed of. We must have the help of as many able bodied people as we can spare."
