-----When he's all finished, Dread says to the others, "Ye know, it'd be novel just once to leave a town and not be on the run. Let's try fer the next one we come to. See if we can not steal everythin in sight and abuse the townsfolk."
-----Seth looks slightly startled and shrugs, then says, "Ok, If you promise to do so, I will too!"
-----The three mercenaries scramble at the Dread Pirate's urging, leaving the trio of rogues preparing their final touches to the parlor room and the unconscious innkeep with only the little girl present. With the final attention being made from behind the desk, the Dread Pirate dashes out the front door with Kazel, Seth and the little girl in tow. There, pulling up in front of the steps is Runik in the wagon.
-----Just as Brandel and Krord bound down the steps, Marast dashes over to his employers from the other side of the wagon. The elf then silently nods to the trio in the direction to a point a few yards away from the inn. Turning, the rogues see the elven trio standing beneath a thick shady tree, their attention riveted on the commotion of the rogues, their mercenaries and their wagon.
-----The one with the brownish hair raises one hand and lifts his chin in greeting while the other two fold their arms and watch.
-----Seth settles into the wagon and locates some webs ready to slow down the pair if they cause trouble.
-----From the back of the wagon, the Dread Pirate sketches a short salute to the trio under the tree. Muttering under his breath to the others, he says, "We'd best be keepin an eye out fer those three. It wouldn't surprise me any to wake up one night to find 'em rummagin about in our wagon. They have the look o' those what might try to abscond with what isn't rightfully theirs. Scurrilous lot o' loafers." The Dread Pirate then directs Runik to follow their new employer.
-----Kazel raises an eyebrow toward the three and narrows her eyes. "Hmm," the butcher mutters, "I wonder if they're with a guild from around here."
-----The three elven strangers keep their position under the tree as Runik urges the horses off at a leisurely pace across the village. "Looks t'me like yer folk yer a'followin's headin' inta th't inn," Runik says as he keeps his attention ahead of them.
-----Sure enough, the sedan chair, servants and accompanying warrior vanish inside the rustic inn that Dread and Seth found the night before.
-----"They're on the move," Kazel suddenly says, pointing back toward the elegant inn. Looking back, the place beneath the tree is now vacant. By this time more villagers are seen moving between the buildings and the small lanes.
-----As Runik pulls the wagon up in front of the inn, the dwarf exclaims, "'Ey! Looks like we's got us a fine drinkin' 'stablishment!" He excitedly points out the tavern just next door to the inn.
-----Brandel then looks at his employers. A pale but coherent expression is on his face as he asks, "How do you want us to handle this?"
-----The Dread Pirate nods sagaciously and points his chin towards the tavern the Lady went into, "Arrr, Seth and I will go into the inn and meet with the lady. Marast, you go and get everybody's horses and bring 'em around to the side of the inn. Runik can pull the wagon around there also. Hopefully, we won't be too long. In the meantime, guard the wagon and wait fer us."
-----The Dread Pirate then scrambles off the wagon and heads towards the inn.
-----As Marast begins heading back across the way, Kazel jumps down from the wagon. "Wait," she calls after Dread and Seth, "I'm not going to miss this." She then tells Runik to look after the little girl before the dwarf begins pulling the wagon around to the side of the rustic looking building.
-----Inside the trio sees the old man sitting slumped behind the makeshift desk. The snoring emulating from him signals his inattention to anything occurring in his parlor.
-----Suddenly from the darkened hallway comes a familiar voice. "So, it is here you are." Turning, the rogues see the warrior they had encountered the night before staring at them with a bit of distain in his eyes.
-----"The Lady Mitan will see you now, if you are still interested in her offer," he then says motioning down the hallway.
-----The Dread Pirate loftily waves a hand at the warrior, saying, "Yes, are ye the lady's manservant? I take it she sent ye to announce our presence to her. Then be about yer way, good man." The Dread Pirate then ignores the man and continues into the inn, looking for the Lady Mitan.
-----The warrior strides down the hallway in front of the rogues strangely heading toward the room that Seth and the Dread Pirate had first secured the night before. Outside the door stand two of the menservants and the sedan chair partially blocks the narrow hallway.
-----The two menservants look oddly down at the trio as the warrior knocks at the door and announces, "MiLady, those you seek to hire have arrived."
