-----Sol nods in agreement to Gimplefwick's words, "Yer right. They need a proper burial. I was thinking that we'd come back fer the bodies though, after we'd searched the rest o' the place out. I'm not after the ogre fer vengeance, but rather because they're in league wi' the Dark. I'm also hoping that the other's man's tracks are important, perhaps even one of our enemies, which is why I don't want to lose their trail."
-----"You’re absolutely right, Dread," Raven says sadly. Turning toward the scattered remains, the hunter’s brow furrows and he says, "These people deserved better than this horror."
-----Placing a hand on Sarah’s shoulder, Raven says gently, "There’s no doubt. The two children had been missing for a few weeks. This body must be one of the fathers. Arian, wasn’t it?"
-----Raven looks at Sol. "The man’s tracks, I suppose, belonged to him," The hunter adds, pointing to the dead body. "As for the ogre, let me take a look out here." The ranger takes a torch and walks back into the room where the battle with the monsters took place.
-----After examining the floor for a few moments, Raven stands by one of the side doors in the room. "The big ogre tracks lead to this door," he says quietly, "Although, if this leads to another room and there’s an ogre in there, I’m surprised he hasn’t come out yet." Raven watches the closed door and then looks at the others.
-----At that moment, Kazel enters and quietly emerges into the torch light with the others. "I would have been here sooner, but I had to hide Rinda and the halfling in the bushes up there," she says.
-----"Ah crap...O' course the man's tracks are Arian's." Sol appears somewhat sheepish. Sol walks over to the door, which had the ogre's tracks leading to it. "I'm intending t'open this door, so make whatever preparations ye need to." He advises, now seemingly calm after the recent horrific findings.
-----Kazel quickly notches an arrow and Raven draws his two swords. Once again Sol steps forward and pulls at the door. The portal opens freely and a room reveals itself to the adventurers. Surprisingly free of webs, a stale, putrid odor hangs in the air.
-----Ten feet inside the door is a huge stone table. The torchlight faintly shines on a large humanoid figure slumped across the table.
-----The Dread Pirate quietly draws his shortsword and raises an index finger to his lips. This done, he waves at the others to wait a moment and as quietly as possible enters the room, positioning himself behind the slumped figure, well behind the figure and in the shadows. He then nods at the others to do whatever it is they want to do.
-----"Don't tell me this bastard's had his throat slit too." Sol mutters under his breath, before following Gimplefwick into the room. On the off chance that the beast is just a really sound sleeper, the young warrior walks up to the ogre, and jabs it in the side of its ribs with his longsword.
-----Sarah too tries to blend into the shadows, miserably failing at it due to her bright yellow dress. She looks at the ogre and gulps, looking back and forth between it and Sol nervously.
-----Kazel quietly takes to the shadows on Sol’s left side. There she watches intently while putting away her bow and drawing her blade.
-----Raven stands in front of the table ready for the slightest move from the beast. As Sol jabs at it, the large form remains motionless. Its entire body seems frozen in its slumped position.
-----The warty skin of the ogre seems to be a dull yellowish color and its limbs appear to be dry and thin for a creature its size. The furs the thing wears are dirty and are somewhat covered by a whitish layer of thin and dusty cobwebs. Then it becomes apparent to everyone that the creature is not so much frozen as it is stiff.
-----Sol studies the body for a moment, before commenting, "Not slit. Seems t'be in much th' same condition as th' other body. So, I'm gatherin' that the spiders got to this brute as well. Bloody hell...How'd they get him sitting down? An' why was he here?"
-----Sol then steps away from the ogre and begins to walk back into the room with the four doors, speaking as he does so, "All right. What are all yer preferences? Call it quits here and take the remains back to their families now, or continue checking this place out, baring in mind there are three as o' yet unsearched areas that we know of?"
-----"Maybe he was asleep when they appeared here. They didn't make much noise, and ogres aren't so observant..." Sarah theorizes. "Anyway you guys know I want to stay and search every inch of this place."
-----Raven says, "Let’s search this room for clues and then continue to explore this maze." Raven walks up closer to the ogre, "I wonder if the spiders bit him, he fought them off and then he came in here to die." Raven shrugs his shoulders, "What the hell, at least there is one less ogre in the world. I can live with that." He then starts to search the room.
