-----Spying a good-sized sack down by the dead ogre’s foot, Raven reaches down and grabs it. After looking at the sack for a moment, Raven carefully dumps the contents out on the table. Coins spill out on the stone slab table, which makes a slight ringing sound.
-----Sheathing his cutlass, the Dread Pirate walks over to the ogre and thoroughly goes through its pockets, checking its hands as well for rings or any other sort of jewelry on its person. He then states, "Arrr, we may as well check out the rest of this place since we're here. Maybe those spiders did us a favor and killed off all the other inhabitants also. Then we can haul those remains back to their parents."
-----"Fine. When ye've all finished wi' that room, we'll leave through here." Sol moves to stand in front of the ajar door opposite the ogre's room and keeps watch.
-----As the Dread Pirate checks over the dead form of the hulking brute, Kazel begins inspecting the walls for any secrets this place holds. After a few minutes, it seems as though there is nothing else that can be found.
-----"Okay, let’s go then." Sarah says, ready to keep investigating the place. She then takes the sack of coins. "We can decide what to do with this and the money we found with the rats later," She says.
-----Raven nods and then heads for the door. Seth shambles over and follows Raven. The others follow them out where Sol stands across the room with the two dead monsters.
-----The young warrior pushes the door that is ajar open. The space beyond it is dark and hard to see into. Sol stops himself before he bumps into some cobwebs that are hanging down from the ceiling and stretch over to the walls.
-----Suddenly, two objects drop down on Sol causing the warrior’s knees to almost buckle in surprise. One lands on the warrior’s chest and the other lands on his back close to his neck. To the others, they appear to be clumps of brownish material falling from the dark ceiling that are almost two feet across. That is, until the eight legs on each one begin to move.
-----The large spider on Sol’s chest tries to nip through his surcoat but the chain armor beneath stops it. The one on his back quickly reaches the nape of his neck and bites him there.
-----Raven moves forward quickly, then using the flat part of his blade hits the one on Sol's back. With a healthy splat, the blade flattens the spider staining Sol’s surcoat with a green ooze.
-----Sol's blade falls to the ground, having dropped it in order to free up his hands. Swearing almost as bad as some salty sea dogs he knows, Sol reaches up with both hands to tear off the little sod that bit his neck. Sensing that Raven had already finished the creature, Sol strikes at the one crawling up his chest. His left hand shoots out but the spider rears up avoiding it. Sol then smashes his right hand into its side, sending it into the webs directly in front of him.
-----Suddenly another spider appears crawling on the door to Sol’s left. It reaches for Sol with its front legs but misses him, as the warrior frantically moves.
-----At the top of the door, Raven sees another pair of spider legs waving over his head. He moves just in time as the spider misses him and lands on the floor.
-----Sarah groans and reaches, again, for her darts. Keeping them ready to throw at any open spider, she hangs near the back as usual, watching the back of Sol’s neck for any sign of infection or poison spreading from the wound.
-----"What made these little buggers decide to come an' play?" Sol's strained voice grumbles. Ignoring the Lathanian blade that litters the floor, Sol pulls his short sword free of its scabbard. The small twitch on the corner of his mouth suggests that he's also attempting to ignore the bite on his neck, as he moves to and swings rather violently at the arachnid on the door.
-----The spider very nearly grabs onto his hand as his weapon swings toward the door. However, Sol’s sword slices into the creature splattering the door with its ichor.
-----Seth uses his sling and tries to hit the spider to Sol's left with the bullet. He begins to sing what he hopes is an uplifting and heroic style tune. Seth’s bullet seems to sing in tune as it whizzes past Raven’s ear on its way to the spider. It strikes the eight-legged creature fully on its head adding a bigger mess to the door.
-----In his frenzied state, Sol swings the blade around hitting the spider again as it falls dead to the floor.
-----Rushing forward, the Dread Pirate attempts to tackle Sol at the knees, in an effort to knock him over and dislodge the spiders. On the way, he runs by Raven’s right side as the ranger stands in the door behind Sol. There in his path is the spider, which fell from the top of the door. Pausing momentarily to regard the spider, Gimplefwick draws his cutlass and chops down at the thing neatly slicing it in two.
