-----"And you," she says, turning to Raven, "be careful, too! You’ve got a rat bite I still need to look at!" She buries a finger in his chest to make her point.
-----"Dread," she says as she turns toward the door, "if those two don’t do what I asked them to, you have my permission to order them out of here."
-----Rinda then takes her torch and leaves for the outside.
-----Sol just looks at Raven and says, "See, now look what ye've done. Ye got us in t'trouble." He rolls his eyes and grins, before turning back to the door opposite the ogre's room once more. "We ready t'move on then?"
-----Seth holds the torch as Sol and Raven start into the next room. The flames lightly catch the cobwebs and they quickly burn away from the door. This room appears to be twenty feet across and empty except for three stone columns that are about waist high to a human. They are topped by sculptures of winged figures, their features long since worn away.
-----Seth slowly moves towards the statues, unable to contain himself with the possibility of examining some new form of art works. "Mmm, I think I might just have a quick look for traps and secret doors if that is ok with you two?"
-----Sol raises a hand and waves to Seth, "Go fer it." He then contents himself with keeping an eye out for trouble.
-----Looking pointedly at the two fighters, the Dread Pirate states, "Now let’s try not to get ourselves killed in this room, okay? If ye feel any nihilistic urges comin over yerselves, just let me know." Gimplefwick then moves to examine the statues and the surrounding area.
-----Seth moves around the statues admiring them, and gradually seems to become interested in a column that one of the statues is mounted on. He slowly straightens up and motions for everyone to be quite.
-----"I have found a lever here on this column. Dread, do you want to have a look as well? Sol and Raven, are you ready for whatever happens when we trigger this lever? Or shall we wait a while and come back later?"
-----"Lever?" Sol replies, sounding more than a little grumpy for some reason, "Yeah, give it go. Whatever it does, hope it still works. Most of this place is in shambles."
-----"Sure, why not?" Kazel shrugs, but she couldn't help involuntarily moving closer to the exit as she waits for the lever to pop. Just in case a stone door slams shut on them and a spiked ceiling comes pressing down.
-----Seth smiles at the go ahead to activate the lever. He smiles at the Dread Pirate waiting for him to cast his scurvy eye over the lever prior to the 'event'. "You know some of the most famous art works are hidden behind levers, not to mention treasures beyond imagination and stolen children. You know even though those remains appeared to be those of the halfling children, they may have been from an earlier meal. It is possible some of the children we seek may still be alive."
-----The Dread Pirate gazes benignly upon the lever, "Arrr, go ahead and flip the lever, Seth. What’s the worst that could happen?" Just in case, the Dread Pirate also edges closer to the exit.
-----With a click, Seth activates the lever on the side of the column. With a tug, a false section of the stone column pulls open like a small door. Within is a small cavity, which contains a cylinder-shaped pottery jar.
-----Seth moves closer to the jar motioning the others to stay away. To all who watches it appears he merely stands in front of the jar gazing at it moving his head from side to side.
-----Raven mutters, "Mighty fancy pantry. Must be some really good in that jar for them to try to hide it so well." Raven says to Seth, "Seth, is it trapped or not?" Raven glances over to Sarah surprised she hasn't moved in the look at the strange jar.
-----Sarah walks over quickly to the column, as she had been standing almost outside of the room she was so worried about the switch. She crouches down next to Seth and looks at him, then at the pot, then at Seth again. "Is it safe?" She reaches out her hand and asks him, "Can I touch it?"
-----Seth reaches out and lifts the lid of the jar. "No, it is not trapped Sarah!" He carefully maneuvers so Sarah cannot touch the pot. He looks inside it.
-----"Well," he announces to the group, "it looks like we have a stash of Platinum coins, but not of this realm!"
-----He quickly counts out the coins into six neat piles. "Here, everyone take a pile. By the way, has anyone ever seen coins like this?" He carefully takes a shirt out of his pack and wraps the pot and lid carefully in it.
-----As he begins to stash it in his pack, he nods towards the pile of coins closest to him. "I want the pot! If you want to share my coins in exchange, you can."
