-----"This . . . ," the man begins, pausing rudely as if to find a proper title for the huntress, "woman has the stink of the forest on her." He then arrogantly flashes his own smile at the hunter as he adds, "but that is nothing compared to your stench, little man." The man stares at the hunter as if awaiting his reaction.
-----"So much fer sitting down fer a meal. Romney, keep an eye here, I need t'make sure Raven's got this covered. Excuse me." With that, Sol stands and comes to stand near Raven's table. As of yet, he does not interfere, just lets the hunter know with a look that he is nearby. The young warrior then busies himself shaking off a case of deja vu.
-----Raven nods and puts on a sad face, "You have no name? Very sad. I'll call you Mr. Daisy then." Raven snarls as he looks the man over and then waves to dismiss him, "You stink of the sweat of young boys and sheep. You disgust me, away with you."
-----Raven puts his arm down and moves out of the man's way, but some notice that Raven's arm comes to rest very near one of his swords. Raven's hand is not on the hilt of the weapon, but hovers near it. Raven stance is relaxed and ready for action.
-----Sarah shrugs and starts eating. She figures Raven can handle himself, especially if Sol is watching him. But she does keep an eye on the situation making sure nothing nasty happens.
-----"How very childish of you," the fancy man says calmly raising his chin. He now looks at Raven with an emotionless expression. "You wish to challenge me and the best you can do is resort to some child's game of name calling. Not only do you offend me by your presence but also by your ignorant attempt at lecturing." 'Mr. Daisy' then positions his own hand by the hilt of his sword.
-----"Hold!" Roderon says, quickly standing, "None shall fight here in the presence of Lord Howrun, especially at a feast." The ranger then narrows his eyes at the offending stranger. "Know this, I am a witness of what happened as well as an agent of the Lord of Silvergard. By his authority, I say to you move on and leave this place. You are the one at fault here. You also face one who has proved himself an ally of the Lord of Silvergard."
-----The surrounding tables now all feature silent observers who sit watching with slack jaws or eager expressions anticipating some sudden action.
-----Two more men dressed in a similar fashion to the finely dressed man approach the table, both featuring scowls on their faces.
-----Romney moves a bit closer to Sol's position while Rinda and Garrison move just behind Raven.
-----'Mr. Daisy' snarls at Raven, "I will have satisfaction."
-----"Did you not hear me?" Roderon shouts and this even momentarily catches the attention of Lord Howrun and his companions. "Back down now and leave!"
-----"Very well," the stranger replies glaring at the Lord's ranger. Then as he turns to leave, he says to Raven, "You will see me again." He starts for the door with his two companions in tow.
-----Raven turns to Roderon, "Thank you for your support. It looks like I've got some business to attend to, be back in a moment." Raven calls out to 'Mr. Daisy', "No one threatens me and walks away. I'll meet you outside." Raven moves to follow the men outside.
-----Sarah excuses herself and follows Raven at a safe distance. She gets a good look at the stranger's companions.
-----Sol frowns as the situation unfolds. As he turns to follow his friends outside, he casts a questioning look at Lovan.
-----Lovan frowns as he follows the others toward the door.
-----"Raven," Roderon calls after the hunter, "Let me take care of this. I can have those fools harried out of this territory." It seems, however, that the Lord's ranger's offer falls on deaf ears as the adventurers and their companions exit out into the rain.
-----As everyone files out behind Raven, they see the three finely dressed men, their hair and clothing soaked, with swords drawn. Oddly, they do not face the people exiting behind them. Rather, they alertly scan the immediate area between the buildings and the surrounding trees.
-----This does appear rather strange until the adventurers' eyes are diverted to a body lying facedown on the rain soaked ground a few feet from the tavern door. It appears to be the body of a human male wearing the work clothing of a tradesman. Frizzed brownish hair covers the back of his head. Three arrows extend from his back.
-----"We should get the women back inside," Romney quickly says over Sol's shoulder. The guard's eyes dart as he watches the dark shadows surrounding them.
