-----Chessie's brief sojourn on Sol's shoulder had left the Gorian grinning sheepishly. However, curious surprise was his reaction to Sarah's words, a slightly raised eyebrow and his eyes widening a fraction being the indication.
-----"I am Novic, assistant to Sir Labran," replies the thin man to Sarah and as he smiles his lips thin out. "My dear, could I not buy you a drink?"
-----As a moment of uncomfortable silence passes, Novic cocks his head as he observes the small owl on Sarah's shoulder. "An interesting pet you have, my dear," he comments, "Are you a mage?"
-----While the thin man waits for a reaction, a man dressed in chain armor walks up behind him. This man looks around at the adventurers as if he intends to back up the thin man.
-----"Sarah," Mirian says suddenly interrupting the proceedings, "Shall we dance once more?"
-----'Thank Destine!' Sarah thinks as Mirian interrupts the conversation. "Yes, once more." She says smiling and she and Mirian go off to dance one final time.
-----"It appears ye'll have t'wait, sir. It seems my lady wants t'continue th' festivities." Sol's smile is friendly enough, though he seems rather intent on studying the two. The Gorian also nods respectfully to the man in chain, as if trying to assuage the tension.
-----"Perhaps another time," Novic says after Sarah with a pleasant tone. His expression on his thin face, though somewhat friendly, seems a bit unnerving.
-----The man behind Novic nods politely at Sol and turns to follow the darkly dressed man as he departs to return to a table near Lord Howrun's party.

-----"A crescent moon on a Midsummer's Eve
-----Stirs a Gypsy's heart to leave.
-----For when we meet again, my friend,
-----The words of Destine will portend."

-----Mirian's song fills the hall once more quieting the murmurs of the patrons. She and Sarah take to the floor surrounded by the many admirers who now stomp the rhythm of this lively song. Many of the patrons who are of elven blood push their way forward and clap along with beaming smiles on their brilliant faces.
-----As the song comes to an end, the place erupts with enthusiastic applause and Mirian quickly gathers the coins before telling Garrison and Romney, "Let's eat!"
-----Grabbing Sarah's hand in her own, the dancer says, "Let's rest now. This will leave your admirers wanting more!" She beams a smile at Sarah as she pushes more silver into her hand.
-----Chessie comes down from the rafters where he spent the last few moments watching his mistress perform. He lands lithely on her shoulder looking very hungry.
-----"Him and me both." Sol quips as he joins Sarah and Miriam, indicating the owl's hunger.
-----Sarah grabs Sol's hand with her left hand while she holds Mirian's with her right. The three make their way to the table and have a seat. Chessie hops off Sarah's shoulder and starts to eat little bites of just about everything. After eating a few bites, Sarah leans over to Sol and says in a low voice, "Lord Howrun seems troubled, we should ask him why when we get a chance."
-----Sarah has not stopped beaming from the dance, if anything she seems happier than normal, which is hard for her. She sighs and stares up at what's above, deep in joyful thought about something or other.
-----Sol pauses sometime into the dinner to break Sarah out of her reverie. Speaking as softly as Sarah did moments before, he voices a desire, "After we're done here fer th' evening, I was hoping t'have a talk wi' ye. Despite th' night, it's still warm enough outside...we could find a somewhere dry enough wi' these massive trees about."
-----Sarah seems astounded to hear these words coming from Sol. "Yes, yes absolutely." She says nodding her head vigorously. "I would love that, thank you!"
-----Just then Sarah and Sol's attention are directed a few tables over closer to where the massive platters of food are laid out.
-----There they see Raven confronting a finely dressed man. The man has curly black hair and a long straight mustache under his nose. He wears a frilly white shirt with a dark vest and carries a thin sword at his side.
-----Standing in front of him, Raven's gaze is locked on the man. The hunter holds an arm in front of the man to stop him. Raven grins at the man, "Hold friend. I must know the name of the man that is so important that he doesn't stop and apologize when bumping into a lady."
-----Raven then turns to those at the table he was sitting at and says, "Quiet now, for this great man is going to speak." Turning back to the man, Raven says, as he points toward Rinda, "Please tell us why you think this lady is beneath you." Raven's voice is clear and calm, but his eyes shows the wolf spirit clawing to get out.
