-----Garrison and Romney help the others, especially the women, dismount while keeping an eye on the situation.
-----The elven guards stand by the tavern door and open it. "This way," one of them instructs, beckoning the adventurers, "the Lord of Silvergard awaits."
-----Lovan continues to stand by Sol and stare at the strangers with a calm expression. The grim men then look among themselves and, with a few casting one last disgusted glance at the party, begin to walk away from the area.
-----Raven pretty much seems to ignore the grim men as he dismounts and heads into the tavern. Raven pauses at the tavern's door to make sure the grim men weren't going to cause trouble. Once the men start to walk away, Raven enters the tavern.
-----Inside, the tavern seems devoid of village patrons though the place is populated by Lord Howrun's company. A falconer stands just inside the door feeding his hunting bird a few bits of meat. He bows as the adventurers enter.
-----Roderon stands to one side of the huge room beside two other rangers. One, a human woman with dark skin and black hair, wears light tanned leather and carries a short sword at her side. The other, a half-elven male with long brown hair, wears studded leather and carries a spear.
-----An elven warrior with black hair approaches Roderon and speaks with him. The warrior wears a coat of emerald green scales.
-----The rest of the tables are nearly filled with a score of elven and human archers.
-----The Lord of Silvergard sits at the back wall in his huge chair behind a long table. This time, Howrun's demeanor appears quite stern and purposeful. As breakfast meats are brought in with an enticing aroma filling the tavern, Lord Howrun bids everyone to sit.
-----"Eat thy fill, this morning," Lord Howrun begins with his low strong voice, "the rain shall stop soon and we will be off to the Town of Rushfen. Prepare and steel thyself for the journey, for there is much that looks to bore ill for the Silver Woods this day!"
-----Lord Howrun lifts his cup and drinks inviting all assembled to sit and eat.
-----Sol does his best to fulfill Lord Howrun's behest, but he has trouble finding his appetite. The Gorian warrior certainly does not seem to be able to find much enjoyment at all, and the occasional glance at Sarah is filled more with concern and speculation than anything else.
-----Sarah slouches in her chair and slowly picks at her food, not really eating much. After awhile she sighs and pushes the plate away, obviously troubled. She glances a few times at Marian, a curious look on her face, as if she's trying to figure something out but just can't.
-----Raven listens to Lord Howrun's speech. As soon as Lord Howrun is done speaking, Raven heads over to speak with Roderon.
-----Lovan and Garrison immediately take a seat at a table. The woodsman then looks around and spots Mirian. He gets up and pulls her over to sit beside him forcing a smile to escape from her lips. By this time, the storm priest is busy eating away at his breakfast.
-----Romney looks at Sol and Sarah with concern on his face. He leans in and says thoughtfully, "I wonder with Silvergard seemingly beset with its own woes, how things truly fare in Oakwood and Hearthorn?"
-----The Oakwood guard then looks over at Raven and Rinda speaking with Roderon.
-----"Hopefully better. Lord Wizard Zepharon mentioned that they were at least secure." Sol replies mechanically in between his slow methodical consumption of breakfast. As he raises another portion to his mouth, he suddenly and rather forcefully puts it back down on the table in front of him.
-----Pinching the bridge of his nose, the troubled warrior then explains in a quiet tone with his eyes closed, "I have no taste for this." Sol quickly glances over his shoulder as if checking something, but not finding what he's after, he looks around hoping he hasn't disturbed anyone.
-----He then waits, with barely concealed impatience for the breakfast to come to an end.
-----"I hope everything is okay at home," Sarah says, "But I've been worrying about that too...things seem so chaotic out here. Villages of werewolves and assassins and dragons." She shudders. "I feel so sorry for the people who live here. I always took being safe at home for granted." Sarah eats but only because she knows she should, like Sol she isn't very hungry.
-----"Bah!" Lovan suddenly tells Sol and Sarah, "Eat up! We slay a dragon yesterday and yet you worry about some fool shooting arrows at you? Is this not the way of the Rager? Who knows what next rides in to meet us on the wind?!"
