-----The adventurers seem to explode into action! Sol very quickly slices his ancient blade through the lead hobgoblin's skull with a furious swing. In the next moment, he slays the humanoid to his left as the goblinoids try to close their flank.
-----At the same time, Sarah lets her magic discs fly toward the right flank of creatures. Some of the humanoids seem ready as two of their number stoop low enough to allow the discs to swoop over their heads. One multicolored disc, however, slams into one of the hobgoblins. It staggers the creature as its spear falls from its grip.
-----By this time, Raven has reached the outer corridor where the monstrous lizards are emerging. The hunter slashes in, but misses with his first cut. Rinda likewise misses a strike with her club as the big lizard turns its head in time.
-----Just a few feet away, Garrison reaches the other reptile and sweeps his battleaxe through the air in front of the lizard's snout causing it to back one step.
-----Gathering his balance, Raven springs into the lizard's face, ripping with his short swords. As one blade finds an eye, Raven plants the other sword straight into the monster's skull. The sword finds a vital spot there causing the lizard to thrash in its dying moments. As Raven jumps back, the monster collapses as its blood spills.
-----Two of the hobgoblin soldiers rush Sol. The young warrior quickly parries a thick bladed sword and a morningstar. Another hobgoblin suddenly hefts a spear toward Sarah but the weapon misses the mage, loudly falling to the stone floor.
-----Just then, the surviving lizard slams its head into Garrison almost taking the woodsman off his feet. Garrison steps back cursing and holding his side as he tries to regain his breath.
-----Sol spins and then steps, aiming his first attack at the creature threatening Sarah.
-----"Yikes!" Sarah cringes as the spear rattles to the ground beside her. She casts another spell, looking out for hobgoblins with spears.
-----Seeing Garrison is hurt, Raven rushes in to attack the last lizard.
-----Slashing in, the hunter rips a large wound across the back of the large lizard. The monster then momentarily turns its attention toward Raven.
-----Just then, three golden missiles leave Sarah's fingers, streaking across where they find their marks. Two of the missiles strike a hobgoblin spearchucker causing the humanoid to convulse in pain before falling to the floor dead. The third hits another hobgoblin hurting it, but the soldier shakes his head and continues his advance upon Sol.
-----The rainbow-colored discs fling themselves forward once more as the hobgoblin who was stunned before begins to rise. One of the discs swoops over one soldier and misses. The other one collides into the face of the rising one causing him to fumble his weapon and be wobbly again.
-----The Lathanian blade continues its wild swing only to be parried once by a lucky morningstar. Undeterred, Sol reverses his sword's direction, quickly cutting down another goblinoid.
-----Rinda steps up beside Raven and delivers a hit from her club onto the lizard's back. The club thuds loudly but otherwise seems to do little damage. Raven's wolf lunges at the reptile but misses a grab at the creature's throat.
-----Raven then delivers another slash to the beast and spills more of its blood onto the stones.
-----A trio of hobgoblins now face Sol. They each, one at a time, strike at him but the young warrior succeeds in parrying the sword and the two morningstars thrust at him.
-----With a wild cry, Garrison rushes at the lizard and hefts his battleaxe over his head. In a furious motion, he swings down upon its neck, slicing firmly through the creature. The lizard then falls dead without any other movement.
-----"You two need some help?" the woodsman shouts out while gritting his teeth in pain. He looks back inside at where Sarah and Sol face the three fighting hobgoblins and the one on his knees apparently stunned.
-----"No, thank you." Sol replies simply as he flicks his blade almost negligently around in a circle before bringing it across the sword-wielding hobgoblin's midsection.
-----Raven sits down on the freshly killed lizard's back to watch Sol at work.
-----The hobgoblin that had been hit twice now by Sarah's discs begins to slowly rise with pained grumbles. The soldier winces as it reaches for its weapon and flexes its back muscles as it gains its balance.
-----Almost silently and gracefully, the final multi-colored disc arcs in its flight over Sarah's head. The magical projectile then heads straight for the hobgoblin. The creature's eyes widen as it spots the approaching disc. Its jaw drops just before the magical object slams into its chest. Its spear rattles on the floor as the humanoid completely collapses and lies still on the floor.
