-----Meanwhile Sol rips across one of the hobgoblin's gut, slicing open its belly. With another stab, the hobgoblin falls dead. Sol just has enough time to avoid a swinging morningstar.
-----Looking up, Sol sees the last two remaining humanoids begin to back away from him and his beautiful mage companion.
-----Sol allows the hobgoblins no respite and leaps after them, following through with another overhead strike as he closes with the nearest foe.
-----Raven grabs his bow and notches an arrow ready to drop any hobgoblin that tries to flee.
-----Sarah relaxes and pulls back a few stray strands of hair that got in her eyes during the fight. She knows Sol is more than a match for any two hobgoblins. Seeing Garrison got hurt, she goes to his side, "Garrison, let me take a look at that."
-----The woodsman greets Sarah with a smile and says, "Aw, that lizard probably just bruised me. Once we get moving again, the stiffness will go away." Garrison still holds his side as he watches Sol.
-----The young warrior levels his sword at a hobgoblin throat and in the next few moments, another goblinoid drops at his feet.
-----Still swinging his sword, Sol advances on the last soldier. The hobgoblin ducks as the Lathanian blade swoops over his head. The creature then swings its morningstar at Sol but misses.
-----Very quickly, Sol spots an opening and his sword slams into the soldier's chest. The hobgoblin then collapses and slides off the sword blade to the floor.
-----Suddenly, Raven's wolf wheels and faces toward the dead forms of the lizards. The animal then draws up on its haunches and growls.
-----From behind where Raven sits on one of the lizard, the vines outside the door openings begin to part. Another reptilian head then begins to emerge.
-----Rinda quickly grabs Raven's arm and pulls him forward jerking the hunter out of the reptile's way. Over the form of the second dead lizard another lizard creeps through the foliage.
-----"Oh great!" Garrison exclaims, "I guess we know where the lizards could have their nest." The woodsman raises his battleaxe ready to fight again.
-----Since Raven has his arrow VERY well notched, he fires a couple of arrows at the new lizard.
-----Sarah backs away from the new lizards, "Okay, Garrison, you win for now." She says, blasting one with three golden missiles. "But after we clear these out I need to look at that."
-----First, Raven fires his notched and readied arrow quickly, allowing him to draw forth two more arrows! At point blank range, the missile thuds right into the lizard's maul, causing it to stop short.
-----Three magic missiles leave the mage's dainty hand once again, soundly striking the other lizard. The reptile hisses in pain and looks as though it means to back the way it came.
-----Garrison then charges up and chops at the creature in front of Raven. The battleaxe cleaves into the lizard's neck and the monster begins to thrash about in pain as its blood sprays off to the side.
-----Rinda's club bashes down on the lizard backing away from Sarah. The club merely thuds on the creature's soft scales drawing a curse from the huntress.
-----The wolf then runs forward and bites deeply into the lizard's front foot drawing another sharp hiss from the retreating beast.
-----Garrison steps aside, allowing Raven to fire again at the now twisting and turning monster. Surprisingly, both arrows miss their target as the lizard continues its thrashing!
-----Suddenly, the lizard grabs hold of Garrison's leg and delivers a bite that causes the woodsman to loose his footing. Garrison snarls in pain and lands solidly on his back as the beast holds onto him.
-----Raven's wolf leaps away in time just as the other lizard's jaws snap on empty air.
-----Sol comes bolting around the corner, speaking to himself as he does so, "If only it'd been that easy seven years ago..." The Gorian throws himself at the large reptile threatening Garrison, his sword-arm pulled back for an intended deep thrust, the blade still dark with the blood of goblinoids.
-----Sarah glances back and forth between the two lizards. She figures the one that has Sol to deal with is the lesser threat to everyone else, so she blasts the other lizard with three more golden missiles. She wonders what Sol meant about seven years ago and makes a mental note to ask him when they're alone next.
-----Raven draws his bow back and fires two more arrows at the lizard attacking Garrison.
-----Sol hefts the blade forward and into the reptilian creature. The sword penetrates into the beast's chest completely up to the hilt. More blood begins to spill as Sol pulls the blade out and steps aside.
-----Just then, Raven plants an arrow right between the eyes of the big lizard taking the life right out of it.
