-----Quade quickly intones a spell of his own. The troll rushing Sol slows a bit, infuriating the monster even more. It stays on its feet easing itself closer to the Gorian. Quade then expresses his own frustration by gasping out an angry sound.
-----Kantar concentrates issuing his own incantation. Suddenly in the dark, there appears another large figure between the two trolls. A familiar hiss is heard and the two trolls' attention is distracted by the lizard suddenly there, alternatively snapping at each of them.
-----Just as Ursulena lifts her arms, a bright light illuminates the interior of the great hall, its source seeming to radiate from somewhere a few feet above the monsters. The light also reveals a glazed area on the floor that the troll in front of Sol stands in.
-----One of the trolls swipes a great claw at the lizard and it misses as the reptile ducks its head. It then hisses when suddenly the other troll scrapes its clawed hand through the lizard's head. However, just as quickly, as the troll connects with it, the large lizard vanishes!
-----The monsters, confused by the turn of events, look around in vain for the missing animal. Just then, Garrison makes his way to the troll on the right and chops heavily into the troll's leg. The battleaxe carves deeply, splitting the muscle and spilling its dark blood.
-----Raven's wolf is there beside the woodsman and delivers a quick bite to the troll. The large monster turns in pain just in time to meet Raven leaping into it.
-----With one slash, the hunter rips his short sword across the troll's mid section, tearing so deeply the monster is separated in half! The upper half of the creature drops to the floor in a spool of its own body fluids. Even though it is badly hurt, the troll emits a howl while trying to fend off its attackers with its arms. Meanwhile, the troll's legs kick and lash out as it fights to maintain its balance.
-----Sol quickly sweeps the Lathanian blade across the other troll's chest and belly opening a deep gushing wound. As the monster slightly recoils, Sol stabs in piercing the troll's side just under its rib cage. The monster roars as it tries to regather its senses.
-----"Severage on the troll! Apply the torches!" comes a shouted command. Two of the guardsmen then begins hurriedly working around Garrison and Raven to bring their lighted torches to bear on the severed troll's underparts!
-----Raven stabs deeply into the troll's chest and the monster's upper half suddenly collapses. Seeing his chance, Raven slashes across the severed legs tripping them up.
-----The two guardsmen then light the two halves of the monster and its burnt flesh is quickly consumed.
-----Rinda draws back and fires an arrow at the troll facing Sol. Her first arrow sails over the beast's head. A loud curse is then emitted as the huntress's second arrow fails to hit.
-----Flowing with the surge of adrenalin that struck him at the troll's first howl, Sol wrenches the Lathanian sword from the vile beast's midsection and uses the momentum from the blade's removal to spin clockwise and to step to his left, the sword flashing around towards the troll's neck at the completion of the turn.
-----Sol's sword rips out quite a bit of troll flesh as it leaves the grotesque body. Finishing his move, the sword cuts deeply across the monster's neck though not clean enough to decapitate it. A large amount of dark blood flows down its chest.
-----Though greatly weakened, the troll begins thrashing the air with its great claws. One claw sails over Sol's head, but its second connects with the young warrior. Balling its claw into a great fist, the troll strikes Sol in the side of his rib cage and almost takes the Gorian off his feet.
-----The huge head comes in at Sol for a bite. As its jaw clash together, Sol still has his sword arm raised. The troll then mistakenly chomps down on the Lathanian blade. The weapon is unharmed, but a big tooth falls from the troll's mouth.
-----With a battle induced yell, Garrison runs up and plants his battleaxe square in the troll's gut. The monster then collapses dead on the floor.
-----As Rinda runs to Sol's side, the guardsman yells to the torchmen who immediately set fire to the vanquished monster.
-----"Tooth!" Quade shouts as he and Kantar step forward looking over the burning remains.
-----Ursulena quickly produces an empty vial. "Omigosh!" she exclaims looking at Sarah, "Do you collect samples of the monsters you conquer? If we secure a bit of troll's blood, it might make for a good regenerative spell or potion."
-----Sol raises his free hand to gently ward Rinda off and he smiles slightly, though it more closely resembles a grimace. He takes a moment to regain his breath before explaining, "I got lazy an' expected th' sod t'fall from my strike. Ne'ermind. No permanent damage, though ther'll be a nicely sized bruise I imagine."
