-----Flexing his arm over his damaged side, Sol suggests quietly, "Let's take a look at this hall." Despite his words, the Gorian waits to see if Sarah and Ursulena wish to extract choice bits of troll.
-----Raven cleans the troll blood off his blades. Raven says to Sol, "I'll help look around. I'd rather not see troll remains being picked through." Raven begins to search the area.
-----The captain of the guardsmen steps forward and introduces himself again to Sol saying, "I am Edwin Farrington, head of the guardsmen of the Trinity Seekers for the Truth of Maxim. I am pleased to meet you and I must say I am impressed by your fighting style. I might suggest, however, when fighting an opponent as large as these trolls, you might keep watching their shoulders. In this way, you can see the general tendencies for which way the body will move."
-----Edwin appears to be a man of handsome features with a large blond mustache extending down each side of his mouth. The way he carries himself hints at his strength and coordination.
-----"That was a good battle. I was pleased to guard the rear and see the fighting unfold as it did," the captain continues and then asks, "Do you think there might be a better way we could coordinate, so that my men and I can better back you?"
-----Garrison furrows his brow and frowns at the captain, although he keeps his silence.
-----"Ah, a good specimen!" Quade exclaims as he holds a large tooth up toward the light created by Ursulena's incantation. The troll's tooth is almost as large as the mage's palm and its blacken state makes it not the most appealing thing to look at.
-----"A bicuspid canine, perhaps used to crunch on bones once the meat is taken off," Kantar theorizes, also marveling at the tooth, "but of course, that is speculation on my part. Still an excellent specimen, I agree!"
-----Rinda shakes her head as she follows Raven. "Perhaps I should keep to my sword for the time being," the huntress says almost smiling, "my shooting has been a bit shaky."
-----The other guardsmen continue to watch the flames consume the trolls' flesh while occasionally poking more in the flames with their spears.
-----Ursulena quickly leans down collecting as much of the trolls' dark blood as she can in her vial.
-----Raven and Rinda move on back where the hall is much darker. Behind some tables they bend down to examine something.
-----"No, not usually." Sarah replies to Ursulena. "I'm not current on what parts of monsters to keep around..."
-----Sarah walks over to Sol and thinks 'now for the really tough part.' "Okay Sol, hold still." She reaches around and starts to unbuckle his armor so she can bandage his wounds. She hopes Sol will not resist.
-----Sol smiles mischievously, but remains plient as Sarah removes first the warrior's surcoat then lifts his chain shirt over his head. Only a brief grunt emits from the warrior as the metal links drag against the fresh cuts on his ribs. In his hands, Sol holds his sword belt and Baldric, having removed them himself.
-----As Sarah begins to inspect his wound, Sol turns and regards the captain politely, answering surely, "Edwin, I appreciate yer compliments an' yer...helpful hint. As fer yer concern o' coordination, ye seem t'be more'n competent, captain. I have faith that ye'll be able t'react appropriately t'any situation, such as ye did here. There's far too many things that can happen in a place like this, so I prefer t'deal wi' 'em as they come. Better coordination will come from working wi' each other longer."
-----Sol then looks at Sarah and takes a breath of contentment, briefly marveling at his luck, then returns his attention to Edwin, "O' course, I'm always willing t'listen t'any suggestions...fer now though, perhaps ye could escort yer charges int' the main hall an' help Raven an' Rinda search th' room. Sarah an' I will be wi' ye soon." Sol's gaze indicates that this is not the best time to question the lady mage's decision to practice field medicine now.
-----"Very well," Edwin answers Sol. The captain then posts two of his guardsmen by the open doors while the other three follow him deeper into the large chamber.
-----Garrison flexes his stiff shoulders as he looks about.
-----"A quandary," Quade says in deep thought to Kantar while still examining the troll's tooth. "If trolls regenerate, will a new one start to form from this tooth?"
-----"I would say yes," his partner says without hesitation, "especially if there is still living tissue connected to said tooth. Of course, that is purely speculation on my part. On the other hand, the blood that Ursulena is collecting is used to make extra-healing potions and I have not heard of regeneration occurring from that."
-----The girl mage holds aloft her vial containing the dark ichor.
-----Sarah winces as she sees Sol's wound, and she is both amazed that he can take those kind of hits that would knock her unconscious in a second, and horrified that he's acting like it's not big deal. "Sol, this is no good." She mutters sympathetically, "It would be better for you if you um...you know....took it easy for a day or so. Maybe we should go outside and rest?" She suggests timidly as she bandages his wound tenderly.
