-----"Ther'll be plenty o' rest t'be had once we reach Rushfen." Sol replies softly as he reaches out a hand to cup Sarah's chin. His fingers delicately trace the outline of her cheek and jaw as she finishes her work on the bandage. When it's finally in place, Sol pulls her into an embrace, carefully so as not to ruin the dressing, and whispers in her ear, "It'll take a lot more'n this t'take me from ye, an' I won't let that happen. An'...Thank you, Sarah."
-----The somewhat battered warrior pulls away from the hug reluctantly and looks to where the rest of the group headed, "Come on, th' sooner we find what we're looking fer, th' sooner we can rejoin Lord Howrun."
-----Sol then proceeds to put his equipment back on, before intending to enter the large hall.
-----"Marching order!" Edwin shouts out. Although his voice has a nice commanding quality, it does seem to be a bit of annoyance as his voice carries into the dark corners of the hall.
-----Quade quickly tosses the troll's tooth into the flames of the dying fire before he and Kantar fall into formation in front of the guardsmen. Ursulena grabs onto Sarah's arm and whispers lowly to the young mage.
-----Ahead of the group, Sol has caught up to Garrison, Rinda and Raven. "Hey," Garrison says as he gazes around at the shadowed walls, "do you feel that?"
-----Toward the middle of the large chamber a slight cool draft is felt. Its origin seems not to be from the doors leading to the outside behind them, but rather from the opposite walls toward the back of the hall.
-----Sol moves forward to investigate the back wall, briefly looking over Edwin's troop as he does so.
-----Sarah, feeling somewhat fussy for trying to get Sol to slow down, which she should have known was impossible, blushes lightly as Sol hugs her and strokes her cheek.
-----"Just promise me you'll be careful." She asks as she kisses his cheek softly before he pulls away to go investigate the troops order. She watches him walk away and sighs quietly to herself.
-----At Ursulena's touch however Sarah is back at attention, she laughs at the young mage's question and whispers something back.
-----Sol makes it to the back wall where the light from Ursulena's spell doesn't quite reach. The young warrior's form can be seen feeling and searching the wall there.
-----Garrison quickly picks up the cue and moves back inspecting what he can in the shadows.
-----After a few moments, Sol calls one of the guardsmen holding a torch over to him. The young warrior pulls forth a small object and begins inspecting the walls and near the floor. It is apparent that Sol is on to something as he moves toward a centralized portion of the back wall with a purposeful stride in his step.
-----Sol straightens up from his inspection and replaces the object back into a pocket. Smiling, he raps the section of wall in front of him with his knuckles and proclaims, "Some sort o' secret entrance. Th' troll's prints lead from this area. Could some o' ye come over an' help me find out how t'open it?" The warrior himself begins to push and prod various areas of that part of the wall, hoping to find the mechanism that might open it.
-----At first with Sol's examination and pushing, no movement is detected. However by the time that Garrison stands beside him, a section of the wall seems to hint at quivering in its position as if it wants to pivot to the right.
-----Sol and the woodsman then apply pressure together to a section of stones and a scraping of rock is heard. A tall opening is revealed as the section pivots open on an unseen hinge. Somewhere within the stone wall a sound is heard as if the structure works on a huge counterbalance.
-----Behind the wall section is a large enough area for the trolls to have emerged from. As the torches are brought forth, they reveal a large stairway with steps leading down to the dark below. A putrid smell seems to wharf up from the dark revealing that the trolls definitely came from there.
-----"Let's have a look." Sol comments as he begins to curiously head downstairs, his nose twitching slightly at the smell.
-----Sarah wrinkles her nose at the smell, "Oh yes, the ever present stench of moral decay." She quips. "Let's clean this place up." She follows right behind Sol down the stairs.
-----Out of the shadows comes Raven and Rinda. Raven, with swords at the ready, follow Sol and Sarah into the dark opening.
-----Garrison grabs a torch from one of the guardsmen and pulls up along Raven and Rinda. Holding the torch aloft, he follows the young warrior in the lead. The stairs leading downward are strangely steep and wide as if intended for races other than humans or demihumans.
