-----After the prisoners are secured in the cellar room and Sol and Kazel return to the main room, Davan then asks each adventurer what he can serve to them.
-----Sarah seems to be in a bad mood. She doesn't say much and when Davan arranges her room, she stalks up to her room and slams the door behind her. As she leaves the main room, Davan calls after her, "Perhaps I can bring you a bit of supper up to you?"
-----"Me thinks I could be up fer some rum n’ steak if’n me funds were more plentiful," The Dread Pirate mumbles as he squeezes one of his pouches that appears to be nearly empty. He gives a sidelong glance at Sol.
-----Sol just shakes his head in amusement at the halfling, "Gimplefwick, the coin I gave Seth should cover us all." He glances around in contentment at the inn's atmosphere, before saying to the group, "I'll be in the stables fer a little while if anyone wants me."
-----He turns to leave but suddenly returns to the group and asks, "Did anyone call Sarah's owl fat again?" Sol asks in confusion, "I mean sure, it's a little overweight but...Anyway, that's probably not the reason she's angry. Just thought I'd ask." He finally begins to leave the inn.
-----Kazel looks slowly from Sol to Seth, then back again. "I don't think it's about the owl," she finally says, a slight smile on her face.
-----She drums her fingers on the table for a bit, then decides to go talk to Davan after ordering water and a simple stew.
-----"Dammit, Sol," Rinda playfully says in a stern voice. She grabs the young warrior’s arm before he can disappear out the door. "That horse of yours can wait a few more moments. You have been carrying around that injury of yours all day and it needs tending to. Sit down there." She motions to Raven to pull a chair out for Sol.
-----After pushing Sol into the chair, Rinda looks at Raven, "Now if he moves or bolts for the door, let him feel the big end of my club."
-----Laying her hands on Sol’s arm, she reverently intones, "By the Great Hunter, cure this one of wounds!"
-----As a healing warmth fades from Sol’s cured injury, Rinda waves her hand saying gruffly, "Be off now! But I warn you, call for us before you charge into trouble!" She laughs and pats Raven’s arm as Sol heads for the stable.
-----As he is being healed, Sol makes dejected protests about the wound only being a scratch. As Sol is leaving for the stables, he happily scoffs, "I'll be sure to call ye'all if there's trouble...in the stables." The inn's doorway closes softly behind him.
-----Raven smiles as Rinda cares for Sol. After she is done, Raven puts his hands on her shoulders and points her toward a table. Raven says, "Now it time for you to take care of yourself. Let's eat."
-----Davan speaks with Kazel and Seth as he serves them. Momentarily, he gathers some meat and potatoes on a large serving dish and takes it over to Raven and Rinda’s table. He sets the food before them and then returns to get drinks for them.
-----As he stands by their table, he looks at Raven and in a pleasant tone asks, "Pardon me, but do I detect some elven in your ancestory?"
-----With a mouth full of food, Raven stops to looks up at Davan. Raven eyes Davan for a moment as if not sure how to respond. Raven shallows and says, "I'm not sure. I think I am. I've always had a special..." Raven pauses trying to find the right word, "link to the elven way." Raven shrugs, "It's hard to explain."
-----"My friend," Davan says to Raven, "if you ever come across a place called Ballantir, please send word of it back here to Tre."
-----With a puzzled look on his face Raven says, "What is this 'Ballantir' place?"
-----Davan replies, "It is but a fabled realm where the people who are children of the elven and human people seek to find a place of their own. A place where they can come together and start their own culture and, perhaps religion, and not be ridiculed like so many of our kind are. Of all the goodly races of the world, those of us people call half-elven are perhaps the most challenged and sometimes neglected by those races who sire us."
-----The innkeeper then returns back behind the bar. He gets more food and carries it on a tray upstairs to Sarah’s room.
-----After a while, Sol returns from the stable. Sol's look of contentment has returned when he comes back inside the inn. Before taking a seat at a table with the group, he unstraps his baldric and leans the sword against the table. Then he seats himself down. When Davan returns a while later, Sol politely orders a mug of ale with his dinner.
-----After picking at his plate, and making sure he has collected some tid bits for his friends, Seth takes out his harp and tries to reconstruct some of the beautiful elven melodies taught to him by his mother.
-----As the night wears on, the adventurers make their way one by one upstairs to their own separate rooms. The night passes on peacefully and the stay in the Wood’s Inn proves to be very restful.
