-----Raven takes aim at the nearest bandit to Rinda, "I guess a little more won't matter." Raven yells at the bandits, "You dumb bastards, the only gold you'll need is for your headstones!" Raven begins to fire his bow. Two arrows strike the man standing over Rinda and he falls dead.
-----Sarah grins and reaches into one of her new pouches. "Let’s see how well this works..." She mutters before launching into an invocation. Off to her left, three bandits approach from among the trees.
-----Suddenly, a large, thick, sticky mass comes into being extending between a small cluster of trees. The trio of marauders find themselves stuck tight within the stingy mass.
-----Seth readies his pork fat and mumbles some phrases that sound incomprehensible to the others. He points his hands palm in at an area of ground at the brigands closest to Kazel and releases a greasy shot of air from his hands to that point. The ground there immediately gets a glossy slick look to it and two bandits caught inside the area quickly lose their balance and fall, dropping their weapons.
-----One bandit remains standing just a few yards from Kazel. The half-elven girl releases her dagger with a sure swift motion and the weapon impales itself in the bandit’s shoulder. With a shocked and pained yell, the brigand turns, running toward the trees.
-----"Wait, gimme back my dagger!" Kazel yells as she quickly throws two of her knives after the fleeing man. Both daggers miss their mark with her second throw being an uncharacteristic clumsy toss that briefly hurts her arm. Fuming, Kazel grabs her bow!
-----Sol grunts and steadies himself. Seeing the fleeing bandit, he takes off after him, doing his best to ignore his light arm wound. Sol's legs are built for running and the warrior certainly seems to enjoy it, for a look of enthusiasm begins to grow on his face.
-----Sarah’s grin is even wider than usual. "Awwwwwwww Yeeeahhahh!!" She exclaims as she sees the spider web catch the three bandits. Then she sees the bandit running away with Kazel’s dagger.
-----Sarah raises her hand and says a few words while chuckling maniacally to herself. Two bolts of pure magick energy fly toward the poor bandit, flashing in front of Sol. Both bolts strike the fleeing bandit taking him off his feet. He falls with a solid thud and lies dead.
-----"Arrr . . ." the Dread Pirate murmurs watching the magical energy fly toward the running bandit. He slightly jumps as it hits with the man. Looking over at Kazel, he says, "Didya hear that love call she let out?" He points his thumb toward Sarah. "Poor wanton girl, still gots it bad fer the Dread Pirate. ‘Tis better to have ‘er here where we can keep an eye on ‘er than to let ‘er out loose and about!" Gimplefwick nods toward the young sorceress as if looking at a child. He then flashes her a wink.
-----Seth smiles at the struggling bandits slipping and sliding on the ground near Kazel. All around him everything seems under control. He addresses no one in particular, "I wish my friend Fly could be here to see this!"
-----He makes ready his sling and begins to pelt the brigands in the grease trap. Whimsically he begins singing a song; a Gorian refrain about winged women flying over battlefields and wearing Gorian checked trousers. Oh and something about taking the slain on to Paradise or some such. With a solid smack, one of his sling bullets hits a slowly rising bandit knocking him down again into the greasy undergrowth.
-----Rinda gets up and moves toward Raven with her club over her shoulder. With a broad smile, she asks him, "What, you did not think I could handle the prey alone?"
-----Grumbling something about being cursed, Kazel stalks over to the greased area. Standing at the edge, she then aims her bow at the struggling bandits on the ground and proceeds to fire at them. Seth also continues pelting the brigands in the greased area.
-----Quickly the brigands perish in the hail of missile fire. "Um, just testing," Kazel says when she's done.
-----Sol just stands over the dead bandit in front of him. He methodically wipes his blade clean on the body and sheathes his sword. He then turns around and takes in the whole scene. "This is a fine bloody mess." Sol grumbles, "At least we have ourselves some new friends to talk to. And of all things they're stuck in a . . . web. Of course."
-----Sol stalks over to the large tangled mass of strands and calls to the hapless within, "As you lot may or may not be able to tell, we're running out of people to chat to. In fact, as we speak, yer becoming the last three. Just letting you know that ye'd better have something useful to say." Arms folded, he then waits for them to speak.
-----Raven smiles back at Rinda and blushes, "I guess I was acting on instinct." Raven looks over at the trapped bandits. Raven says to Rinda, "Looks like the hunters have turned into prey." Raven sprints over to the bandits trapped in the web. Raven says to the group, "Wait! Don't kill 'em all. Leave a couple so we can...question them. They might have some useful information."
