-----Sarah, having stayed awake all night easily spots the incoming figures. She wonders what the hell is going on and stands up to move away from them, keeping her eyes towards them at all times. She hesitates in her actions; she wouldn't want to mess up some weird ritual of Rinda’s.
-----Sol glances back at the camp and seeing that Raven and Rinda are awake and aware, he makes his decision. Sol takes off at a sprint, running almost parallel with the direction the slouching, running shapes are taking. The warrior must be trying to draw attention to himself and away from any possible actions from his companions, for stealth is obviously the last thing on Sol's mind.
-----Raven draws his swords and takes off after Sol.
-----After about thirty feet, Sol begins to angle in towards them, hoping to intersect with them. As he nears them at first the forms appear to notice him, oddly making no hostile motions toward the young warrior. Perhaps a few of their number think that Sol is one of their own. At this point, it seems there are close to a dozen of the humanly forms sneaking from the outer trees toward one of the small homes.
-----Suddenly a hushed sound of surprise from one of the forms states the inevitable. Sol has been recognized as a stranger among them and a few blades slip quickly from their sheaths.
-----As Raven runs the distance with the wolf along side him, at least six of the forms have drawn short swords on Sol. With the moonbeams coming into the clearing from the western sky, it is obvious that the forms are humans wearing darkened leather.
-----As the ranger hurries on, low voices issue threatening words and Sol has already drawn forth his Lathanian blade. It catches the white gleam of the lunar orb and for a moment, it resembles a bolt of lightning as it reflects the light.
-----The dark crowd of forms advances toward Sol. In the next instant, Sol’s weapon drops one human to the ground. With a mighty swoop, Sol swings his sword again. Although it makes no contact with the ones trying to surround him, it causes them to momentarily back up from him.
-----Sol speaks softly, "Drop yer weapons and surrender, and ye live. Otherwise join yer friend." Sol grins in excitement at the situation and the likelihood of more swordplay, detracting slightly from the seriousness of his statement. Not wasting time waiting for a response, he swings his sword at a random opponent.
-----Without speaking a word Raven attacks one of the dark forms. Raven's movements are savage and powerful.
-----Sol’s weapon slices against another man as the opponent lunges for him. The man’s body falls in front of the young warrior as another stabs in at him. The sword does not pierce Sol’s chainmail, which seems to glisten in the moonlight.
-----One of the dark forms steps back from Raven, shocked by the aggressiveness of the ranger. The wolf leaps with a fierce growl and bites deeply into the man’s arm nearly taking him to the ground. Amid grunts of pain, the man tries to hit the wolf with his free hand, which does little good. In the next second, Raven steps up and with a slash of one of his sword, ends the man’s struggle.
-----Sol and Raven are barely aware of the approach behind them of Rinda and the four guards. The rest of the dark humans, noticing the other people emerging from the small grove, begin to turn as if to take cover among the trees across the clearing.
-----Sol plunges forward, straight for the center of the dark ones, hoping to distract them from any ideas such as escape. The same grin still lights his face. Darting in and swinging and out of random opponents, each of his sword strokes are aimed at a different dark human.
-----With a sudden flurry, another dark bandit drops at Sol’s hand. Pausing momentarily, Sol catches Romney’s eye and says something to him. With a look of realization, the guard yells at Abram and the two guards sprint back toward Sarah’s location at the edge of the grove.
-----Sarah watches from her position, wondering if she has time to cast a certain spell if Sol moves a little too slow... The magess calmly raises her hand and a bright fan of colors flashes from her hand. Instantly three of the foes near Sol fall to the ground. The guards flinch as the spell is cast and then regain their wits as they take positions on each side of Sarah. They begin watching all around for any advancing foes.
-----Raven lets out a low growl as he leaps at one of the figures. Raven seems to be trying to knock the man out. The ranger parries a weak thrust from a defender who looks almost frightened of the advancing Raven. While holding the man’s blade with his own, Raven strikes out with his other fist. The impact loudly smacks against the man’s jaw and sends him unconscious to the ground.
-----Meanwhile beside him, Rinda’s club swoops through the air as it misses yet another retreating human. The bandit turns and widely swings his sword, missing Rinda while he tries to get away.
-----Bradley seems to engage another foe with some swordplay. They seem to dance in the moonlight while trading parries and thrusts.
