-----Seth seems a bit embarrassed by the mention of the sword. "Um yes I have this sword. I thought I might learn how to use it. Then again I may not. The weapon smith offered me fifty gold for it, I think I could get more. Maybe you and Kazel could teach me how to use it. On the other hand I could buy one of those bow things. It seems a bit more safer to use than this," he states as he indicates the sword.
-----At the mention of what Kazel and Dread are discussing, Seth smiles. "That sounds fine to me, although I do not think our esteemed colleagues do not really have all that much worth liberating. If Kazel agrees, then I shall join the plan."
-----He pauses as he looks at Kazel. "The only problem I can foresee is that these evil ones seem to want Kazel, maybe we should wait until the evil is defeated - For Kazel's benefit."
-----He looks around the bar as if searching for someone. "On the other hand, a cunning plan where we hire some mercenaries to ambush our group on our successful return.. The heroes of Hearthorn get blasted from the front and rear.." Then he leans in close to Kazel and Dread. "The mercenaries would have to die as well. We don't want any stories getting out." He straightens up and smiles and takes a deep inhalation through his nose, obviously delighting in his clean and pleasant smell. "Anyway I'll leave the killing details up to you two."
-----The Dread Pirate stares suspiciously at Seth, "Arrr, ye went and took a bath, didn't ye? Those things are unhealthy fer ye. Ye'll be sure to get the scurvy now."
-----Dread continues, "Anyway, we should probably get out of here. This place is way too open and obvious. It'll probably be the first place our esteemed colleagues come lookin fer us. We can discuss our little plot further in the safety of a room at the local inn. But I didn't really intend to charge into the cave right after our 'friends'. I'd wait a few moments and give 'em a chance to improve the odds in our favor. We might even want to consider waiting outside the cave for 'em to come out. We can drop poisoned caltrops all over the cave entrance and Seth can hit 'em with his sleep spell as they come out. And we can do it all from hiding. Maybe on top of the cave entrance or something. That way they get hit with both the caltrops and the sleep spell before they even realize they're under attack. And we can avoid the mercenaries." The Dread Pirate gets up, preparing to leave the tavern and go find an inn.
-----Seth smiles at the reference of scurvy. "I already have a room in an Inn. We can share if you like." and for the benefit of Kazel, obviously Dread has no need, Seth adds, "There is also a bath, with hot water if you like."
-----As Seth heads to the door with Dread, he adds, "It is actually the best room in the Inn and there is a free bottle of wine waiting for us. Maybe we should order a feast as well!"
-----Out on the street, the trio clings off to one side watching on down the lane lest they catch a glimpse of Sol, Raven, Sarah or Rinda. The street seems fairly busy and the various people that are about make the quick jaunt somewhat nerve-wracking. A tall young man strolling along looks like Sol. A young girl with long blond hair resembles the spellcaster. As the trio moves along a nervous giggling suddenly threatens to erupt from them.
-----Just around the corner, Seth ushers them to the cozy looking Cloven Inn. Run by a plumb friendly looking human female, the place looks like it is well maintained and clean. The innkeeper is seen pouring over a ledger of some sort off the main room and the trio makes it up the stairs before she can hear them.
-----Seth leads them to his room and opening the door, Dread and Kazel can see how nice the room is that Seth has rented. The fresh air moves through the opened window and the sunlight brightens the lightly painted walls. A large bed with a fluffy mattress and pillows is set against one wall and a beautiful dark wood table with chairs stands a few feet from the window. On the table is the bottle of fine wine that Seth had mentioned.
-----A young and pretty serving girl kneels by a fancy looking tub wiping away the last few drop of water out of it. She curtsies as the three rogues enter and says to Seth, "Will there be anything I can get for you, sir?"
-----Seth smiles at the serving girl. "Well, we would like a very nice meal sent up, enough for the three of us." He indicates Kazel. "The Lady may require a bath."
-----Just as the serving girl prepares to exit the room, a surprised "oh" escapes her and looking down she sees the Dread Pirate standing by her with a peculiar look on his face. She grabs at her thigh trying to fend off any more advances before she leaves.
-----The Dread Pirate leers at the serving girl, then states gallantly, "Fear not, Kazel. I'll stay here and protect ye during yer bath. I'll even scrub yer back fer ye. No need to thank me, I'd just be doin me duty as a member of our little group. Ahem." Gimplefwick wanders over to the table and opens the bottle of wine, pouring three glasses.
