-----When the door closes, Albert flies in through the window and lands atop one of the chairs. The crow chatters somewhat noisily before settling down.
-----Out the window, the rogues can see that they have a perfect view down the street toward the keep.
-----"Scrub my back. That's all...?" Kazel muses absent-mindedly as she looks outside the window. "Anyway, this plan to me is really more about liberating ourselves from our heroes than what they've got in their pockets. Even though they are too good to take the loot but will always keep their shares." She looks around the room and adds, "I also saw some other funny things going on in town which may or may not be related."
-----At the mention of the black sword she says, "I'd probably sell that thing, or at least till I'm sure I'm the only one controlling it..."
-----The Dread Pirate nods at Kazel's statement, "Aye, I mainly just want to liberate their loot to teach 'em a goodly lesson. As fer the sword, I think I'll probably take it to a temple and get it checked out. In the meantime, what're we goin to do fer the next couple o' days while we're hidin out? We'll need to try to keep an eye on our colleagues and hire a tracker. Maybe two mercenaries as well. And we need to meet with that Daylor guy. Or whatever his name is that Voruna wanted us to see. As much fun as it'd be, we can't sit around all day and give each other sponge baths. I say we each decide what we want to get done, then we split up tonight and work on those tasks. Unless anybody else wants to, I'll go hit the local taverns and look fer Voruna's lackey. Where was he supposed to be? The Blue Boar tavern? But we still need to keep a watch on our friends and hire those mercs." The Dread Pirate begins rummaging through his pack, mumbling something about a 'loofah'.
-----A while later, the plumb innkeeper makes her way into the room with a large tray that she sets down on the table. Lifting the lid off the tray, an excellent meal of meat, vegetable and large bread rolls is revealed. It simply smells delicious!
-----The innkeeper steps back and eyes Kazel and the Dread Pirate in Seth’s room and asks of Seth, "Will your guests be needing rooms of their own, sir?" She then casts a nervous glance at Albert who cocks his head at her from the windowsill.
-----Seth stands and takes the dear woman's hand in his. "My most excellent Hostess, my friends have not yet decided if they will need a room for the night. They have only just arrived in town and may keep travelling. If they do require a room for the night, I shall let you know. It can be added to my account!"
-----He is about to say something, but stops and then smiles at Maime. "This meal is excellent. I wonder if there was something else, a trifling matter that I might seek your aid with?" he pauses and then adds with a conspirtual wink, "You see my friends have only just told me that rival business associates have hired a band of thugs to disrupt my plans. I need to hire some steady lads here in the town. I need some very good bodyguards, as well as maybe a young boy to act as valets, and generally run around town and send messages. Do you think you could help me?"
-----The Dread Pirate ceases rummaging about in his backpack and looks speculatively at the innkeeper, "Aye, and I seem to have misplaced me loofah. If ye could find a replacement fer me posthaste, I'd appreciate it."
-----Maime, the innkeeper slaps her cheeks with her plumb hands as Seth makes his requests. She smoothes back her dark hair that is pulled into a bun and tries to steady herself. After catching her breath, she answers, "Thugs? Oh dear! Yes, kind sir, you might find some guards to hire in different parts in our town. What with all the talk of Lord Lambert and the evil wild things that live out in the woods . . ." Here the innkeeper nearly swoons. She then primly catches herself and continues, "In the Market place, there are found every now and then, companies of soldiers who hire themselves out. I have also heard of those who are not as respectable as yourself who have found the vile mercenaries as bodyguards in the taverns. The streets have been so crowded as of late with soldiers and fighters from who knows where!"
-----Maime suddenly looks with a confused look on her face at the Dread Pirate. "Loofah?" she asked, "Sir, what is a . . ." She pauses with a surprised smile on her face and quickly runs from the room. A moment later, she charges back in with a small item in her hand. It appears to be spongy, but made of a light material that seems to be somewhat woven. A few dainty pink strands of string are tied to the middle of the thing and a strong scent of perfume waifs from it.
-----"Loofah for the bath, sir?" she asks triumphantly, "They had such a bargain on these at the Market place!" She then holds the perfumed thing out toward the Dread Pirate.
