-----The woman flashes another dark smile and the two turn and leave to go out the front doors. The older man remains in the middle of the dark warehouse wiping his brow.
-----After waiting just a little bit more to see what the old man does after the two young people leave, Seth signals to Gimplefwick and Kazel to leave the building. He has a plan and he is sure the others do also!!
-----It appears the old man gathers his wits. He then picks up a torch and moves toward the north wall inspecting some of the crates there.
-----Kazel nods at Seth, but signals that she wants to follow the evil-looking couple instead. If there are no objections, she'll meet them back outside the dock warehouse in under an hour, indicating the time with silently mouthed words.
-----Seth pulls a face at Kazel, but nods in agreement. He motions that he will keep an eye on the warehouse until she returns.
-----Gimplefwick watches Kazel leave the warehouse and settles back to watch the old man putter about the place.
-----Awhile later, Gimplefwick is about finished with an apple he took from a barrel. He and Seth hear a noise approaching their position from the outside doors. In the darkness beside them, Kazel has returned.
-----Sethanles now motions to Kazel and Gimplefwick to come outside to talk.
-----Kazel nods and quietly goes back out into the streets, after checking nobody is outside the entrance. Once outside, she keeps walking until they're clear of the vicinity of the warehouse.
-----"Sorry it took so long. I didn't find out much except those two, and a third companion may be visitors to this town. One of them stays at the White Unicorn, and the two you saw in the warehouse are separately in the Fire Pit and the Evening Star right now." Kazel says in a low voice, looking back at the tavern across from the warehouse. "What did you find out?"
-----Seth smiles "Excellent, I have not learnt too much more, but Gimplefwick searched some of the crates, while crunching on an apple!! I have never heard anything like that before." Seth smiles at the Dread Pirate’s audacity.
-----"What I have been thinking is that two of us go in and arrange for the wagon and the goods, while the other one searches for that box marked spices. While the other two keep the good Calron busy, the third one steals that box of gold!!! So what do you two think?" Seth is quiet, smitten with his plan.
-----Gimplefwick nods his head at Seth's plan, "Aye, it sounds like a good plan to me. But what about the old man? They'll kill him for our theft. Besides which he'll be sure to tell them who was in the warehouse the night that their gold was stolen, before they kill him that is. So either we kill him or we cut him in on the deal for part of the gold and tell him to leave town. Maybe he can drive a wagon for us and start his getaway with us."
-----"Calron's been doing business here a long time," Kazel says. "Even before the thieves' guild we just joined. We'll have to explain that to them too, if he gets killed. I say cut him a deal, or we can try going after those mean-looking people who own the gold, after finding out who they are...?"
-----Gimplefwick grins at Kazel, "Aye, wee lass, we can take out those landlubbers. They sounded plenty vile enough for me. Me conscience would feel no remorse at their passing. I think we'd best take them out one at a time though, in a setting where all three of us can gang up on 'em. They were pretty well armed and armored."
-----Kazel smiles and looks relieved at not having to get Calron killed, though she also waits to see what Seth thinks. "I saw a wagon coming out of the warehouse just before I returned, by the way. Who was in there? And have you talked to Calron?"
-----Seth nods, "Yes, I agree that we should protect Calron, but how shall we best do that if we are traveling for five days with that blasted wagon. The other thing is should we hide the gold in town here or maybe at the hideout or take it with us? Maybe we could leave the box marked spices in the tent of those foreigners or near their tent to make it look like they took it. Everyone likes abusing foreigners!" Seth looks at Gimplefwick. "I think the wagon Kazel saw was the one they unloaded and stacked the items at the northeast corner. Is that what you reckon?"
-----"Why don't we go talk to him? We need to anyway for the wagon trip." Kazel then adds, "Of course, it'd be best if we can pull this off without Calron knowing, since he knows the guild and he might spill it. Maybe we can go after the gold after it's delivered? We need to find out where it's going and who those people are..."
-----"Well I guess we can't hide the gold in the hideout then if we don't want the guild to know," Seth smiles at Kazel's deviousness. "Well how about we knock out Calron after we have our wagon and goods. Take the gold, tie him up, so they won’t suspect him, then plant the box on the foreigners? If we are going to do that wagon run, we won’t have time to track down the gold and the strangers, unless," and now Seth looks very long into both Kazel and Gimplefwick eyes. "Unless we decide that we should run the thief’s guild here and take it over. We could with that gold!!"
