-----"Oh... did you want the guild to know? I was just assuming." Kazel smiles a bit sheepishly. "So much for one for all and all for one... Then again, it could be safer with help and make them very happy with us, but we'd still have to go back out the gates and get Wain's 'approval' first. Otherwise, we might as well keep it to ourselves."
-----She looks around the streets, then continues. "Knocking out Calron is just like stealing from him. It probably won't save him from those people, whom I think are the root of the problem here... right Dread Pirate?"
-----Gimplefwick nods, "Aye, Kazel, those landlubbers are the root of the problem. If they were to disappear, the gold probably wouldn't be missed. I think we can do this all tonight and still take the wagon to Lut. If you'll direct us to where one of those people went, we can lay in an ambush and take 'em out. I think we can notify the guild afterwards. Speaking of which, I think we had best tell Wain. Who's to say that, we haven't been followed by someone checkin’ up on us on our first job? As for taking over the guild, I'm not that suicidal. We have no idea of their numbers, their connections or their powers, while they know that we are new to town and fairly inexperienced. Methinks we'd be no match for 'em right now. The idea does have merit, maybe later on in our careers."
-----"Oh, I do hope we are not late," The thieves hear a familiar voice say. Looking up, they see the merchant, Louie DeCalver, and his friend hurrying down the street. They enter the Evening Star Tavern across from the warehouse.
-----"The woman went into the Evening Star," Kazel says looking at the tavern Louie just entered. "The man went to the Fire Pit tavern. And there was another man, larger but also a little slow if you get my meaning. He has a room at the White Unicorn to the southeast, and the woman told him to wait for someone to contact him."
-----"We don't know who these people are or if they have any friends either, so maybe we should pick one to 'question' or get it out of Calron..."
-----Seth watches Louie go into the tavern. "Well I’m not going in there, Louie is likely to remember me, but I’d say his tent is not guarded. That’s another thing we could do."
-----Gimplefwick shakes his head, "Arrr, we gots too many plans and we haven't followed through on any of 'em. I say we lay in an ambush for the woman and take her out. I'm not in favor of questioning her, as I don't want to kill her in cold blood afterwards. What I say is this, I'll wait fer her outside the tavern and follow her fer aways through town. You two follow me, sticking to the shadows and alleyways. When she enters a dark alley or street, I'll throw a grapnel and rope up a side building and then try to slingshot her in the back from a goodly distance. Whether I hit her or not, I'll immediately scramble up the rope to the roof. She'll probably try to come after me, thinking me a mere halfling and not the Dread Pirate that I am. If she doesn't, I'll taunt her until she comes after me. When she does, I'll drop a paving stone on her head and one of you sneak up behind her for a backstab. She should be plenty distracted by that point, so ye should be able to succeed with no problem. Whether ye get her or not, I'll immediately climb down to help ye as should the other of us. Mayhaps the last of us could sneak up fer a backstab as well, once we're all embroiled in the heat of battle. Then, if this works fer us, we'll try it on the others. What say you two?"
-----Seth says, "Mmm, Really I'm all for just taking the gold, and not worrying about these people. They've done nothing to me, but if you must ambush someone and kill them, then I guess you must. But I think a murder will make the city officials more upset than missing gold."
-----"I agree," Kazel says looking at Seth. "What say we just follow them and try to steal it right from under their noses. We have all night to do this. And if the gold is not moving tonight, then we can't do anything without getting Calron involved or suspected anyway. So like I said before, why not talk to Calron first, if only for the wagon trip at least."
-----Gimplefwick shrugs and says, "Alright then, let's go see Calron and pick up our wagon. A murder or two probably would heat things up too much for us. Especially if we have to get that wagon out of town."
-----Gimplefwick begins heading back to the warehouse, to speak with Calron. He whispers to his two companions, "Arrr, did I ever tell ye about the illiterate, horny half-orc who spent all night in the warehouse?"
-----Seth follows Gimplefwick into the warehouse. "NO, Dread Pirate, you have not told me that one. Is that another Pirate song?"
