-----The humanoid’s expression turns into a snarl. It raises its blade a little higher and turns its head to one side as if seeing what the reaction of the trio will be.
-----"Or we can just tie them up for the next batch of travelers to deal with." Kazel takes a moment to look out the window to check on the other creature and the wagon, then returns her attention to the room. Outside she sees the humanoid Seth hit with his slingshot tied up where he left it. Beyond it, she sees the wagon coming down the road.
-----"So, can either of you speak their tongue?" she says after a moment, still holding her sword, but now in a relaxed stance with the blade down at her side.
-----Seeing the creature's response, Gimplefwick replies to Kazel, "Well, I wouldn't feel right about just leavin em either. There's a really good chance they'd be able to get loose after enough time. Or they'd starve to death or die of thirst if we just left 'em. That'd be more cruel than simply killing 'em while they're helpless. Which this one isn't. So let's just kill it now and not moralize over it anymore." So saying, Gimplefwick smiles again reassuringly and then dives to the attack.
-----Kazel shrugs. "Right, it's had its chance to give up." With that, she moves in to corner the creature from the other side.
-----The humanoid almost seems ready, if not waiting for the Dread Pirate’s attack. Clang! Gimplefwick’s mighty cutlass swings at the green skin but his opponent parries the attack. Clang! The humanoid weighs in with a sudden thrust, but the fierce halfling catches it with his weapon.
-----Then with a great swoosh, Gimplefwick’s sword slices through the air in front of him. It slices across the belly of the defiant creature and for a second all falls silent. The blade drops from the creature’s hand and it falls to its knees gripping its bleeding mid section. Its eyes bug out as it stares at the victorious pirate. It then collapses onto the floor and is still. Behind where it stood is a small coffer on the floor.
-----Gimplefwick stares at the dead humanoid, as though amazed at his own prowess, he then nudges the corpse with his toe and waits for any movement. Seeing that it is indeed truly dead, and quite disemboweled, Gimplefwick yells out at Seth, "Hey, Seth. Want to see what this one had for lunch?"
-----Chuckling at his own morbid sense of humor, Gimplefwick eyes the chest and then looks at Kazel, "I don't be havin much skill with lookin fer traps and such whatnot. If'n you don't let's just drag the chest outside and put it on the wagon. Maybe Seth can check it if he has the skill. Or the fence in Lut might have the knack." Gimplefwick then stoops over and checks the pockets of the dead humanoid and confiscates its weapons and gear.
-----"Well, that's the end of that green thing. I guess we got the excitement we were looking for." Kazel waits until Gimplefwick finishes his search of the creature, then puts away her sword and lifts the coffer into her arms.
-----"Let's get all this loot into the light first, and see how they're doing outside." She stops as she passes Seth on the way out, and looks at him for a moment. "Are you alright, Seth?"
-----Seth looks a little bit green himself. "mm yes I’m ok Kazel. I got some coins from the one I tied up. Let’s get this chest on to the wagon. I’ll work on it in the wagon."
-----Seth seems to sway a bit and then walks over to help carry the chest. He seems to straighten up a bit. "Gimplefwick, if their weapons are any good maybe we could sell them as well?"
-----Gimplefwick nods at Seth as he waddles out the door, carrying the humanoid’s sword and shield. "Aye, we can always try to sell some of this stuff. No sense in just leavin it around. Well, should we divide up everything or just the loot in the coffer?"
-----The Dread Pirate looks about the village, "Hrrrmmm, maybe we'd best be movin on now. I've had enough excitement fer one day. Who knows what else might be livin in this place anyway."
-----"Actually, I might want to keep one or two of those blades, if they're well forged." Kazel looks around for her thrown knives while on her way to the wagon.
-----They approach the road and Jim has the wagon stopped waiting for them. The crow perched atop the wagon canopy caws loudly and shrilly. Kazel finds both of her knives that she threw earlier. Seth climbs into the wagon, takes the coffer from Kazel and begins to look it over. Gimplefwick tosses the armament he liberated from the humanoid up into the wagon. It settles into the vehicle with a noisy clatter. Kazel notices Jim starts at the noise while he stares at something among the bushes. Following his line of sight, she sees the still tied bleeding humanoid.
-----"Try not to look, Jim," Kazel says as she walks over and removes the sword and shield from the humanoid killed earlier, and searches the body for any items. She then examines them for their quality. Standing up, she carries the loot over and dumps them into the wagon as well.
-----She then goes over to the surviving humanoid and examines the wounds, seeing if it's bleeding to death.
