-----Next, a dark scarlet embroidered gown with puffed sleeves starting at the shoulders is brought out. It also features a shimmering metallic trim and a fitted bodice.
-----Finally, he brings out a black Lady’s dress and commences to go over the details of it. "A V-shaped bodice to emphasize the figure, an embroidered ribbon trims the neckline, the sleeves end in a stylish point on top of the hand with a loop to go over the second finger. This also comes with a headpiece to compliment the dress. This style of dress I also have in white. Any and all of these would look elegant on you, MiLady!"
-----While waiting for Kazel to answer, the tailor looks sideways at the Dread Pirate with a tisk, tisk and the look of pity.
-----Seth looks long and hard at the boots and thinks, ‘No, these clothes are for a reason, my boots are enough!’ "Thanks this all looks very good, and that price is just right. I will have to wait for the boots though, maybe next time I come to this village."
-----The shopkeeper nods to Seth, "Very well, sir. I will have your cloak ready tomorrow. How early would you like to pick it up? Shall I wrap your purchases for you?"
-----Kazel looks and flips over the dresses shown to her in a business-like manner. Before long, she holds up the green and black dresses to the tailor. "I'll take these ones, and a pair of black leather gloves – the simple ones." She eyes the red peasant dress again, shrugs and picks it up as well. "How much are all of these? I want to try them on first, though."
-----"Yes, by all means, try them on!" The man says to Kazel. "There is a space here in the back room and a full mirror for you to see," he says as he directs her through an open door, "although I would imagine your friends would like to see how each dress looks on their young lady friend."
-----As Kazel walks to the back, she can hear the shopkeeper tell her, "The gloves are a gold piece and the three dresses would be four gold and five silver."
-----Seth looks at the others. "Umm well I guess we will leave at first light, so will that be all right? And yes, you may wrap them, thank you."
-----Kazel goes into the backroom and after a few moments emerges a radically different person. Unarmed and with the fine dresses on, she has been transformed into a demure half-elven maiden, looking nothing like the street youth in mundane clothes or the black-clad thief in the night.
-----"Well, how do I look?" She turns this way and that, actually looking a little shy. "I hope I 'fit in'..."
-----When Kazel appears in her dress, Gimplefwick leers at her and mutters not quite discreetly, "Say there, even though ye don't be havin furry feet, ye look pretty good. Ever been with a halfling before?"
-----Seth’s jaw drops as he sees Kazel in this new light. He walks up to her and while reaching for her hand bows over it. He straightens up and looks her in the eye, "You look fabulous my dear, shall we dance?"
-----"Absolutely stunning!" The shopkeeper exclaims as Kazel models all three dresses. "Any man would be so much the richer to escort such beauty to a ball!"
-----"Now," The thin wiry man says spinning toward the Dread Pirate with his hand on his hip, "what is it we can fit you with?"
-----Gimplefwick idly scratches his nose as he glares at the tailor, "What be ye talkin about, ye fur-bearin varmint? Me clothes are good enough until I get meself back into me pirate garb. And don't be thinkin yer goin to changes me mind with yer fancy ways and airs, I'll run yer landlubber hide up the mizzenmast and then have ye scrubbin the bilge til yer eyes turn red."
-----Kazel blushes a bit and grins. "Thanks, Gimplefwick, your compliment means a lot coming from someone with such plundering experience." She then turns and gracefully puts her hand in Seth's. "Maybe we'll get to dance later," she winks and teasingly heaves her bosom a bit. "It's not really my style of doing things, but these gowns might just come in useful."
-----To the tailor Kazel smiles and says, "Well mister, these seem to fit just right. I'll take them and the gloves." She then returns to the backroom to change, looking genuinely pleased.
-----The shopkeeper boxes up the dresses for Kazel and receives the money she gives him. As he hands Kazel her purchases, he tells her, "My dear, you are simply splendid for some of the gowns I make. During the Summertide fest, I often journey to Hearthorn to show my fashions. I would be so honored, if you have no prior engagements, to join me at that time. I think it would be such a treat for my clients to see a beautiful girl, such as yourself, wearing some of my fashions. Please remember my name as Gregory!"
-----The tailor also turns to Seth and says, "And you sir, of such a noble bearing, it would be an honor if you would display some of my suits during my show!"
-----The shopkeeper then looks down at Gimplefwick and as his smile slowly fades, he says, "And you sir, the honor has been mine. Don’t forget, you might consider the Gorian checks!"
