-----Gimplefwick looks suspiciously at the tipsy woman, "Arrr, lassy. Ye seem to be bumpin into lots of people lately. First ye bump into me and then I'm accused of carryin false gold. Now ye bump into this person here. I wonder what extras she might be carryin now. Or what she might be missin? Maybe it'd be fer the best if ye went and joined yer 'merchant' friends before ye get into trouble without anyone here to back ye up."
-----Suddenly the woman stands firmly on both feet and the expression on her face changes. She looks soberly at the Dread Pirate and a small smile forms on her full lips. She raises one eyebrow and the effect is seductive but chilling. In her amber eyes is something there, something dark and menacing.
-----She pats the drunken mercenary on the chest and tells him, "Here, my love, if I didn’t know better I would say that this small one is trying to insult me." Her voice is deep and calm.
-----"My good barkeep, I think I will not need another of your fine ale," she says evenly, still staring at Gimplefwick, but talking to Brad.
-----She then looks at Brad and the three thieves and flashes a sneering smile. "You all have a most pleasant night," she says low and softly. The blond-haired woman then turns and walks through the crowd of drinking men toward the door.
-----She leaves behind the slightly staggering mercenary who stares and tries to focus on the Dread Pirate through glazed eyes.
-----Gimplefwick smiles and scratches himself in an obscene area as the woman talks to him. As she leaves, the Dread Pirate turns to the drunken mercenary and pats him on the arm, "My fine fellow, you have been saved from a dread fate this night!"
-----Gimplefwick points at the retreating woman, "That woman is the infamous harlot Esmeralda Debuckets. It is well known that she has personally given the itching pox to half the sailors in this town. She typically gets a man drunk, seduces him and then robs him blind during the night and leaves him with a horrid case of the pox. The gods alone know what else ye might contract from a night with that one! She keeps the clerics of this town plying their healing arts from dawn til dusk. It's a lucky man you are this night to have escaped her diseased clutches." Gimplefwick shudders at the thought of the agonizing itch that the woman might inflict on the mercenary.
-----The man first exhibits a dull opened-mouth stupor as the Dread Pirate talks. Then as the halfling finishes his explanation, a sickly tone washes over the mercenary’s face. He puts one hand to his face and his body shutters as if he is undergoing the heaves. The mercenary suddenly bolts for the outside door and exits the building. Just before the door closes to, retching sounds are heard bringing cheers and laughter from the customers still inside.
-----Seth finishes his song and begins another, this one more up tempo and with a definite beat to it. This brings many of the customers to their feet and they clap in time to the music. A few coppers and a silver ring as they fall to Seth’s feet from the appreciative audience.
-----One of the doors open and in walks an old woman wrapped in a tattered shawl. She looks around and spots Braddok serving drinks at the bar. She approaches him and talks quietly to him. After listening for a few moments, he waves Kazel over to him to speak.
-----Seth, after a few more rounds of dance music makes an announcement, "Hey Folks, we'll just take a short break and be back with you in a moment. Make your way to the bar for some more ale before the rush!" He collects up the coins at his feet, making a quick count as he goes and scoops them into his backpack.
-----He heads over to the bar where Kazel and Brad are talking. He whispers to Kazel, "Two mercenaries drunk along the north wall, do you want to mark them while I play the next round?"
-----Gimplefwick can be seen to look disgustedly at his pouch, he then walks over to Brad and talks briefly to him. Then, with Brad's permission, the Dread Pirate walks back into the kitchen area.
-----Kazel watches the "harlot" disappears, then shrugs and replies to Braddok. Looking a little harried, she then approaches the old woman to talk with her after being stopped by Seth.
-----Seth aimlessly wanders around the bar before heading out the back. Just before he does, Gimplefwick comes back in from the back room grumbling and cursing under his breath. He totters over to a barstool and sits down, where he keeps his eye on the room and his back to a wall. Kazel continues to talk with the old woman.
-----Gimplefwick twiddles his thumbs and commences glaring at the old woman and anyone else who comes into view. Once he manages to catch Kazel's eye, he nods his head towards the back room. After a few moments, he stretches, yawns, and saunters back into the back room again. Here he finds Seth counting a few coins.
