-----With a population of about 2,000 people, the town of Hearthorn is the center of government for the whole estate of the same name. Located on Crystal Horn Lake and a tributary of the Altor River, the town sees a lot of river traffic.
-----The Paladin Stephen Lambert is Lord of the Estate of Hearthorn and rules from Crystal Keep. He is aided by Lord Chamberlain Sarius and Lord Chancellor Lucan. The Lord Justice Liam oversees local judges and the town militia. The Lord Marshall Kelvin is the head of the military forces and directs the army and the city watch.
-----Spellcraft defenses and all matters magical are overseen by the Lord Wizard, Zepharon. Jareth of Joren is the Lord Chaplain of Hearthorn and oversees all the temples in the estate. Karena, the Curate of Hearthorn who is also in charge of the Temple of the Holy Guardian in the town, assists him.
-----The citizens of Hearthorn are generally honest, law-abiding and helpful people. In the town live many tradesmen and serfs who maintain grazing and planting lots within the walls. Outside the walls are larger fields that the serfs and farmers also tend to.
-----The main religion supported by the nobility of Hearthorn is that of Joren, the Holy Guardian.
-----Another popular religion is that of Solarius, the Sun God. The main temple in Hearthorn is called the House of the Healing Light. The High Priest is Jacian Dawnrider.
-----There is a shrine to the Nature Goddess, Terrena, located in the town. Various druids maintain it.
-----There are other shrines in Hearthorn that are not regularly maintained by representatives of their deities. They are shrines to Chant, God of Crafts; Vestal, Goddess of Wisdom; Aqualior, God of Rivers and Oceans; and Thales the Hunter, Patrons of Rangers.
-----Other religions exist throughout Argor. Most of the acceptable religions are of a lawful and/or good alignment. Deities of a neutral alignment are tolerated as long as their priests create no ill will. Evil worship is not tolerated at all in Altoria.
