-----Quickly glancing back Sol returns Raven's smile and replies, "They're too busy talking...'sides I don't wanna give this any more time to prepare himself against us. I suppose I'm more or less for rushing in. But you knew that, yeah?"
-----A familiar voice hisses out of the darkness beyond the pool. Suddenly Sol and Raven are engulfed in darkness as if the braziers had been snuffed out!
-----Raven yells out, "I'm blind! You can't hide from me witch! I'll track you down and send you back to your so-called god." Using his natural sense of direction, Raven tries to move towards the cave entrance. Raven has his swords out and is listening for any odd sounds.
-----As Raven begins to move, he almost stumbles into the dark pool of water. Suddenly the light of the flaming braziers appears to him and he sees the inside of the cavern once more. Looking behind him, he sees what looks like a wall of pitch darkness behind him. It then comes to him that Sol is engulfed in a huge sphere of darkness. He can see it plainly as it stands out against the brazier light behind it.
-----Rand rushes towards Raven calling out to him, "Raven, what happened? Are you all right? Do you know if Sol is all right?" Without waiting for a reply he calls out in a loud voice, "Sol! are you injured?"
-----"I'm fine," Sol replies in a disgruntled tone.
-----The others see the globe of darkness that Raven emerged from slightly shift toward the left. When Sol spoke, his voice issued from the dark sphere. Far off to the left in the cavern, they can hear a voice quickly say a short phrase.
-----Sarah sighs in relief, "It's okay guys, they're our friends!" she says happily as she walks toward the cavern....
-----The party begins to notice the dark sphere that engulfs Sol begins to move toward the northeastern side of the cave. In a few moments, it will be totally invisible in the darkness of the cave as it moves outside the light of the braziers.
-----Raven suddenly takes off for the entrance to the cave. As everyone turns, they see a dark figure leaving through the tunnel of the cave. Sarah likewise turns and begins running after the figure. Raven reaches for his bow but doesn’t draw it as Sarah runs ahead of him.
-----Zentil takes off after the others running toward the cave entrance, long sword in hand. Rand also turns quickly and sprints after the dark clad figure.
-----The four run in pursuit of the dark-clad person as he flees the cave. Up ahead they see the gray daylight of the overcast sky. Suddenly the dark-clad one spins to face his opponents and he stands silhouetted with his arm raised.
-----Sarah suddenly stops with a confused look on her face.
-----Without saying a word, Raven fires at the man. The arrow Raven launches flies straight at the dark silhouetted man as he begins to speak in a most frightening way. With a solid thud, the missile impales itself squarely in the man’s chest. The dark outstretched arms falter, grasping uselessly at his chest. His knees buckle and his body collapses at the end of the tunnel.
-----Sol suddenly emerges from the dark cavern. He walks towards the tunnel entrance intending to join up with the others, the only deviation being a peculiar look that he gives Thalog and his dark companion as he passes.
-----Zentil holds his sword out as if expecting the fallen form to suddenly rise. After a few moments, the elf seems to relax. "Do you think that was the last of them in there? Should we explore the inside of the cave? I thought I saw something toward the back," Zentil says, with large alert eyes.
-----Rand turns to Zentil and says "I didn't notice anything out back but maybe we should check just to be safe. I think that's all of them..."
-----Raven says to Zentil and Rand. "Go ahead and search the cave. I'm gonna make sure this guy's dead."
-----Raven puts another arrow in the bow and advances towards the fallen man. He takes an arrow and jabs it into the man's side to make sure he is dead, "Yep, they don't get deader than this guy is." Raven then searches the body.
-----Rand nods to Raven and turns to face Zentil, "I'm checking out the cave, are you coming?" Rand starts to walk back into the cave.
-----"Aye, I am." Zentil starts heading to the rear of the cave to look around. Sol also follows Rand and Zentil back into the cave.
-----Rand, Zentil, and Sol reenter the cave and pass by Thalog as he continues to stand with the woman Andra. As the trio of heroes approaches the dark pool, Sol lights his torch from one of the braziers. Zentil cautiously moves to the right of the large circle of light from the braziers peering silently into the dark. The elf indicates that he does see something by the back wall of the cave.
