-----After a few moments and some rather odd sounds issuing forth from behind the wall hanging, Sol emerges again with the man-at-arms in tow. With a small grin he reports, "Even more money in that last trunk, including some pretty stones." Looking around at everyone, Sol asks, "Does anyone have a bag or something t'gather th' gold from Krondor's chest?" Sol's backpack already seems to be bulging dangerously.
-----Raven says, "Couldn't we just carry one the trunks out of here?" Raven continues to look around for something to burn the bodies with.
-----"I suppose so." Sol replies, "Though it'd be uncomfortable carrying horseback, but I suppose I can always transfer th' coinage to my saddlebags after it's carried outside." While Raven is looking for fuel, Sol begins to drag all of the bodies together, to make the one pyre. During the grisly work, he looks up and asks, "Sarah, is that book o' any use t'ye?"
-----As Sarah reads the book she gets a very excited look, the irresistibly cute grin the party knows and loves is planted firmly on her pretty face. As she reads, she wanders around, not really realizing where she is going. She accidentally bumps into Sol. That is the only reason she hears what he says.
-----"Useful? Sol! This is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever given me!" Sarah throws her arms around his neck. "Thank you!" She says kissing him on the cheek. "Thank you!" Another kiss. "Thank you!" Another kiss. "I love you Sol!" She then kisses him right on his lips for a couple of seconds, flashes him a dazzling smile and wanders away happily reading her book, totally oblivious to how big a fool she just made of herself.
-----"Would their robes be enough to feed the fire?" Rinda asks Raven. The huntress also points at the two burning braziers on each side of the altar. "There may also be hot coals in those we can catch their clothing with."
-----By this time, the web spells begin to collapse and Romney, Abram and Shema scramble to capture more of the followers that were caught.
-----The Huntress turns to glance at Sarah once more absorbed in the book. She then looks at Sol and flashes him a laughing smile.
-----Sol just stands there, wide-eyed, current task forgotten. He watches the meandering mage with a look of amazement for a moment, then proceeds to blush furiously, glancing this way and that, making sure everyone is paying less attention to him and more to their jobs. Rinda's smile only makes the Gorian more flustered and he jerks down to reclaim the body he was dragging, and continues on to the pile.
-----Raven thinks for a moment and then says, "It will have to do. At least the fire will cleanse the flesh." Raven tears down the two tapestries and anything else that will burn and throws it over the bodies. Raven says to the group, "Let me know when we can leave and I'll start the fire."
-----The guards bring over two more captured followers and add them to the already huddled three. By now, the pile of bodies has been completed and covered with tapestries and bedding.
-----Sol leads Krondor's man back into the main cavern. Shema grabs both of the men-at-arms and pushes them toward the followers. Sol grabs Abram and motions him into the alcove exposed from where one of the wall hangings once was. After a moment, Sol and Abram emerge carrying a trunk between them.
-----Romney and Shema gather all of the prisoners into one line and start marching them toward the tunnel. Sol and Abram follow the procession carrying their cargo.
-----Raven pushes both of the braziers on the dead pile and slowly the material begins to catch. Rinda then lightly touches Sarah on the arm as she still is glued to the book, examining its contents. "Sarah," the Huntress says softly, "it is time to go."
-----With that the entire party leaves the evil cave for the outside.
-----"Then you move the left index finger a half turn to the right..." Sarah reads aloud from her book, to herself, performing the move with her left hand while holding the book with her right. "No, that's not it, first you raise the left pinky, yeah, then the index finger." Sarah wiggles her fingers slightly. Suddenly the sorceress trips over a rock on the floor and almost falls flat on her face.
-----"Oh Destine!" She exclaims in annoyance. She glances at the exit, it seems so far away, she'll have to pay attention to the path and not her book if she doesn't want to trip on something. Sighing Sarah closes the book, but hugs it close to her chest like it's the most precious thing in the world. Which to her at the moment, it is.
-----"Sol, have I thanked you yet?" She asks.
-----Once the group reaches where the horses were left, Sol reopens the trunk. He begins to pile Krondor's gold into his saddlebags.
-----Raven walks over to Sol and starts to talk to him a low tone.
-----Sol blinks and replies to Raven in the same tone finishing with a grin. Once he has the gold from the trunk all packed, he mounts up. "I guess we can decide what to do next once we've gotten back t'Visp."
