-----Romney looks around and says to Sol, "Bradley must have gotten away with no trouble. His horse is gone and Shema . . ," here the guard pauses as he throws a slightly embarrassed look toward the silent woman guard, "let us know that he did get out of the cave."
-----The party now stands on the outside of the perimeter of the large waste left behind by the Darkening Crystal. The gray ruins of trunks stand over the destroyed ashen forest floor, yet a few birds have begun to land on branches staying momentarily before fluttering off. The whole scene seems strange but brings a sense of relief knowing that the Dark no longer dominates this area.
-----As they all mount up, Rinda looks across at the young warrior. Scowling, she says, "Sol, your arm is injured. We will tend to it as soon as we reach Visp."
-----The three guards ride with the five dark followers and the two henchmen of Krondor’s between their horses. The entire party begins to move toward the northwest at a walking pace.
-----By now the day feels quite warm although very comfortable with the breeze moving through the trees. The ride, now slowed down by the walking prisoners, gives the adventurers the chance to quietly reflect and relax somewhat on the way.
-----Rinda seems quite at ease as she watches the various aspects of nature around her. She looks around at everyone as they ride quietly and smiles. She lets out a small laugh when she sees Sol riding along with an occasional jingling sound from his saddlebags.
-----After the better part of two hours, they come within sight of the village of Visp. There appears to be a lot of men gathered together mounted on horses. Among their number is the priest Rau’Triel organizing the normally loose-minded woodsmen into a ragged looking troop.
-----As the party approaches, one of the woodsmen points and Rau’Triel turns in their direction. With an astonished look, the priest exclaims, "By the Highest Decree! Is it not so?!"
-----He magnificently salutes the adventurers with his warhammer. "You have returned?!" he continues as if giving a speech to all the villagers around him, "And you have won the day?! Chaos be damned! The evil one must have been put asunder by thy hand!"
-----Hefting his warhammer toward one of the younger men, he instructs, "Quickly now, lad, fetch my scribe! I shall have documented what these heroic people have victoriously done!"
-----The rest of the woodsmen who must number at least a score watch the party come forward with impressed looks on their faces.
-----Raven leans forward in his saddle and says, "Aye the dark cult has been destroyed and their leader killed by Sol's hand. We've captured a few of the followers of the dark cult."
-----Raven motions to Krondor's men, "These two are another story." Raven leans back, "Not sure what to do with them yet, but these fools who followed the dark witch need to swing from the hang-man's noose."
-----Raven glances to Sol, "Of course it will be up to the law to decide their fate."
-----Sol shrugs back at Raven, indicating he doesn't really care what fate befalls the Dark followers, as long as it's fitting. Looking over at the priest, Sol speaks, "I'm glad yer still here, Rau'Triel. If yer willing, we'd appreciate it if ye could take these cultists back t'Oakwood as well as th'brigands. These other two men-at-arms as well...Just let Oakwood's authorities know that they are men of th'crimnal, Krondor. They surrendered willingly and provided us with information."
-----The warrior then turns to Romney, Abram and Shema, "I admit I'd like t'see you lot stay on with us. Ye help was appreciated t'no end. But...I don't know how far yer orders extend. We're probably heading on t'Redmarsh now, and Sir Greene may need all th' troops he can t'rid Oakwood completely of the Dark taint." Sol stops speaking and waits for their reactions and opinions.
-----Rau’Triel speaks up saying, "Aye, the accused shall be processed and sent on to Oakwood as were the ones that were sent this morning. Could you accompany us to the Temple of Records? It will build a more effective case of evidence if each of you submit your own testimonies."
-----The Law Priest is then interrupted by some of the woodsmen who throw Rau’Triel tired glances. "Rolanger has gone to Oakwood now," one of the men speaks up looking at Raven. "but his offer stands with all of us. Raven, will you and your friends stay a bit? You can rest and eat before you travel."
-----Romney turns to Sol. Speaking with respect, the guard tells him, "You have done much for our land and our Lord. You should return to the Town of Oakwood if nothing else to be healed and gather any more supplies you need." Romney then looks at Abram and Shema who both nod in agreement.
-----Raven nods to the Law Priest, "I'd like a good meal before heading off to Oakwood."
-----Sol both frowns and nods, "I guess it couldn't hurt. Okay, as Raven said. A meal an' a breather before we head off, but then we really should then push on." Sol suddenly smiles graciously and adds, "Actually, a meal would be really good about now."
