-----As the wizard stands up to face them, Kazel is suddenly just over the Dread Pirate’s left shoulder notching an arrow in her short bow. Twice she quickly fires. Her first arrow pierces the wizard’s right shoulder, while the second goes wide and quivers from the far wall.
-----The evil one steps back in pain but recovers enough to prepare the casting of some spell.
-----Outside, the trapped form seems to free itself quickly with an amazing speed. As it stands and turns, a dark face tattooed with lightning bolt designs is seen beneath its hood. As it raises one hand to cast a spell, Runik brings his hammer home into the wizard’s mid-section knocking the wind from it. Krord, overly excited, forgets to draw his weapon and strikes out at the huffing wizard with one huge fist. Landing a rabbit punch, the dark form comes off his feet and lands a few feet away on his rear end.
-----"Sir!" Brandel yells in to Seth while setting his sword at the knocked downed evil one’s back, "I think we have one of your business competitors out here. What would you like us to do with him?"
-----The faceless wizard straightens and seems to look in Kazel’s direction. Seething beneath the robes, the figure points at the half-elven butcher and in its angry buzzing voice says, "Where is your mother, girl?"
-----The Dread Pirate, upon seeing the cloaked wizard win free of the greasy area, whips the other end of his sling back up and makes to pelt another bullet at the cloaked wizard. As he does so, he attempts to move away from Kazel, so as not to pose a grouped target for the wizard to hit. He taunts the wizard, "Arrr, how do ye like that, ye ugly bastard? Yer mother was a pox-ridden hamster and yer father smelled of elderberries!"
-----Seth yells to Brandel, "Just make sure he cannot make a sound or move his hands. I don't care how you do that!" as he prepares to sling another bullet at the greased up and taunted wizard.
-----The evil one whips his hands around exposing a small spider web in his hands. With a quickly intoned word and a flinging motion, the wizard releases the small sticky stuff toward Kazel, Marast and the Dread Pirate.
-----The small webbing shoots across at them and seems to grow and expand. Seeing the stuff flying at them, Kazel drops her bow and dives for the floor. With a splatting sound, the web anchors itself to the floor, the wall and a beam that reaches to the ceiling. Within the thick webbing, the Dread Pirate and Marast are suddenly caught.
-----Kazel immediately lands on the floor affected by Seth’s grease spell, so as she lands on her belly, she begins shooting across the floor at the evil one.
-----Just as she does, Seth releases his sling bullet which hits the wizard in one outstretched hand. The wizard shakes his hand while looking in the musician’s direction.
-----Seth feels a little uncomfortable as the wizard looks at him. He quickly tries to sling at him again, hoping the others have the trapped wizard secured so they can help with this one.
-----Caught yet again in a web spell, the Dread Pirate seemingly goes berserk. Foaming at the mouth, he begins howling at the top of his lungs in rage, releasing his sling and tearing at the webbing with both hands. His eyes distended and suddenly bloodshot, he fixates on the cloaked wizard, fully intending to rip the evil sorcerer apart limb from limb, when he gets out of the web.
-----"Will you quit with my ma already," Kazel yells at the bothersome wizard. "Or why don't you tell me where she is!"
-----As she slides along, Kazel flips onto her back and spins around. She draws out her sword as she glides along. As she gets to the end of the greased area, she lands feet first and strikes at the wizard.
-----The wizard still glaring at Seth does not even acknowledge Kazel until it is too late. Suddenly the butcher is standing right behind the wizard and before he can turn she delivers a forceful stab into his back just below his ribs. The wizard screams out in pain with an almost inhuman voice.
-----Just as the wounded evil one turns to face his attacker, Seth lets go with another sling bullet that perfectly strikes the wizard in the head. Drops of blood begin dotting the floor from underneath the dark one’s cloak as he appears to be badly wounded!
-----A wave of relief comes over Seth, as he feels the tide of battle changing, and the need for leaping over the fallen door and running for the forest has passed. He takes another bullet and lets fly at the evil wizard.
-----The Dread Pirate continues madly thrashing about in the web, struggling to get at the wizard who webbed him. His berserk howling increases in stridency as Kazel backstabs the cloaked sorcerer.
-----The wizard, almost stumbling now, fumbles at his hands. Two seconds before Seth fires at the evil one, the dark cloaked wizard vanishes.
-----Still the projectile leaves the musician’s sling and thumps something loudly in the air off to Kazel’s left. The bullet falls to the floor, but Kazel is ready. Measuring where the missile had struck the unseen object, the half-elf swings her weapon. Alas, it swoops as it cuts through the air without contacting anything.
