-----The minotaur in front of Raven grunts in rage and pain as it hefts its axe. It swings and puts an ugly scratch across the hunter's upper arm, which begins oozing blood.
-----Sol's eyes expertly swept over the field in one quick motion. The decision as to where to lend his aid took a moment longer; the thought that Raven would need help with this was laughable, so the Gorian discounted that immediately. Lovan was doing well and seemed uninjured and Pil and Dil had a dragon supporting them (though a strangely badly aiming one it seemed, Sol thought with a frown). This left an already injured Garrison holding his own.
-----His decision was made a few moments later, and he darted across the field of battle, his eye on Garrison's minotaur the whole time. Once he neared, he sought to deliver two overhead blows to force the creature away from its current target.
-----Sarah realizes that despite the fact that she has the body of a dragon she still only has the fighting skills of a sorceress. The dragon opens its mouth and spits out four golden balls of fire at the minotaur in front of it.
-----Raven growls at the monster in front of him. His eyes flash with a savage rage as he wades into the creature. Raven attempts a cruel shot to the monster's groin area.
-----Pil suddenly jabs in and injures the minotaur in front of him. At the same time, the four magical blasts from the dragon impact into the monster's face hurting it.
-----The hunter slashes in with both weapons and the swords rip across the monster's lower section. A pain filled bellow is heard as the minotaur doubles forward. With an upward thrust, Raven brings his short sword up through the creature's throat. Very quickly, its breath stops and it falls dead.
-----Garrison doesn't even see Sol coming as the young warrior rushes in. Suddenly, the Lathanian blade strikes the minotaur on each side of the neck leaving it to stagger critically. Seeing a final opening, Sol swings the blade once more taking the beastly thing's head.
-----"This one must have been too weak," Lovan tells Raven of the minotaur he downed. Nodding toward the last one facing two of the warriors and the dragon, the priest says, "That one still has some life in him." Lovan then dashes off toward it.
-----"Thanks!" Garrison says to Sol as he recognizes the Gorian through the din of battle and darkness. "Minotaurs," he then adds, "we really did better than I would have expected against these brutes!"
-----The last monster snarls at the dragon and begins hefting its weapon over its head. Just as it does, the huge axe slips from its grasp and falls a few feet behind it.
-----Seeing an opening, Dilton stabs in at the brute. He jabs in at its ribs piercing the hide there. He hurts the monster more though he does not bring it down.
-----"Yer welcome." Sol calls over his shoulder as he heads towards the last of the minotaurs. As he moves in, he looks for an opening to strike.
-----Sarah, still in dragon form, cannot visibly display her unhappiness with the fact that she hasn't taken the minotaur down yet. Nevertheless she tries again to use her claws and teeth to hurt the monster.
-----Raven gives Lovan a small smile, but says nothing. Raven sees there is only one foe left and with Sol almost within striking range, the monster's life will so be taken. The Hunter spends his time keeping watch for new foes.
-----Before the last minotaur can react, Sol strides in and scores a heavy strike across its chest. The monster begins to waver a bit on its feet.
-----With a glory-seeking cry, Lovan suddenly appears out of the dark wielding his warhammer held high. He leaps past the golden dragon hurdling carelessly toward his target. He swings wildly at the minotaur, but misses, catching himself at the last moment before losing his balance.
-----Ignoring the interruption, Sol stabs in strongly, piercing the minotaur's chest. Immediately, the light in the monster's eyes dim and it collapses heavily to the ground.
-----For a moment, everyone is quiet observing the surrounding area. The only sound comes from the heavy breathing especially from the warriors after the urgency of the battle. The campfire and the moon show a still dim world around the plain where nothing moves. The only imposing structure is the keep which, like everything else for now, appears still as if waiting.
-----The golden dragon nods to the group, points toward the sky with one of its wings and then points back down as if to say 'I'll be right back.' After trying to get her message across, Sarah takes flight and does a quick pass over the keep to see if there are any more special forces about to burst through the gates.
-----Raven watches the dragon soar off. Raven says to Sol, "That's Sarah right?" He then looks at the wound on his arm and mutters, "We were lucky no one was really hurt bad."
-----Raven then begins to search the fallen foes.
